The welcome was like from an old friend. The room was great, comfortable bed, block out curtains and a great shower. Clean towels was nice as well. Parking was easy and just across the road a nice change. I can highly recommend it here

Had a trip around Bosnia and this hotel was by far the best quality-price deal. It’s in the heart of Sarajevo, and it has all the essentials. It’s a family business run by Valida: she’s kind, friendly and helped us with tips and or advices for the city and beyond.

The hostess was very kind and welcoming! The cleanliness was amazing and the room was comfortable for our stay. It was also a convenient walk to Barščaršija, only a 3 minute walk away and also near a taxi station so you can get a taxi if needed. Overall we are very satisfied and will be staying here again!

Vi bodde 4 nätter på hotellet. Det ligger bara 3 minuter från gamla stan där det finns många mysiga restauranger och historiska platser. Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam, rummet var rent och trivsamt med bra WiFi. Frukosten var underbar med bl.a olika varianter av omeletter och pannkakor. Vi kan definitivt rekommendera en vistelse här!

Halvat guesthouse is beautiful and has every amenity that you need for a stay. The beds are comfy, the rooms beautifully decorated and the breakfasts are wonderful. The guesthouse is in easy walking distance in the old town to shops, historical sites, restaurants and bars. Valida the landlady is lovely, so friendly and makes you feel like it's home from home. We were sad to leave but will definitely return.

A welcoming inn, in a wonderful city.

The staff are wonderful, gracious and kind. The inn is located very conveniently, just above old town. The staff helped with transportation and restaurant reservations. They were a delight to chat with and exemplified the gracious heart of Sarajevo. Visit Sarajevo. Stay here. You won't be disappointed.

I had a wonderful stay at this Guesthouse. Valida and her husband are excellent hosts and very welcoming. The room and bed were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a lovely spread and I couldn't possibly do it justice! The house is conveniently situated about a 5 minute walk from the main square but away from the main hustle and bustle. Sarajevo is a fascinating place and I would love to return and would not stay anywhere else! Thank you!

Welcoming and charming guest house - stay here!

This hotel was absolutely spectacular! I felt like I was staying with a cousin at her private home. Valida and Ema made me feel so welcome and comfortable, I can't say enough good things about the experience they provide. The hotel is efficient and clean, with lovely personal touches (books in rooms, especially). The location is great for access to Bascarsija, and everything in the city is within walking distance of this hotel. The highlight of my days was made to order breakfast with Valida. The food was great, but the company was even better. Don't hesitate. Stay here, and feel like family!

Great for the price. Friendly staff. Had to carry luggage up the stairs, but the staff is willing to help if you need them to. Attention to small things were really impressive -- they helped me with parking my car in subtle but very kind ways. For instance, seeing that my car was small (a VW golf), they suggested using their garage rather than use the paid parking spot. Once the garage was found to be still too small, they found a free street parking space and parked for me. Since the valet parking was very easy and very short distance, they didn't charge me for it. 22 euros saved, even though they did not have to do it -- I went in knowing that I had to pay to park, but they helped me as best as they could. The breakfast was good, too.
