The staff was very helpful but the room not so great. Bed had bed bugs and the shower/jacuzzi did not work. Curtain fell of the wall from not being properly installed and secured.

The hotel is under new management (owners) and their efforts to ensure their guests are satisfied demonstrated to working diligently toward that goal. I stayed at the hotel for the first time and I'm glad I did. I was very pleased with everything from the comfort of the room, the staff and the convenient location. When checking in Dee advised me to let them know if there is anything I need to make my stay comfortable and make accommodations if needed. I would recommend if you're looking for that good Texas hospitality. Thank you

New owner & management, Outstanding!

Such personally attentive service I’ve not had in many years. Often places are courteous & polite; this staff takes their mission as personal pride. Renovations & top-up changes are happening behind the scenes; one look at the new lobby and you see their vision for the entire place. Ignore any reviews older than 2 months, this place is a hidden gem, business or family. Dee, Jennifer & Kevin, thank you for a terrific week, will see you again!

The beds and bedding were very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and did try to make things right. However, this hotel needs help. Our first room appeared, at first glance, to be clean and okay. It was not. The bathtub had chunks of plaster that had fallen from the ceiling where there was an obvious water leak. The cable TV lost its signal within a few minutes. There appeared to be spilled coffee, or rusty water, on the window sill. There were black hairs on the vanity top. Someone came to check and then said he was going to move us down the hall and he helped us do that. This started out okay, but this time the TV cable was okay for a bit longer, but then lost it's signal as well. There was a sticky substance on the night stand that had not been cleaned off. There were also black hairs in the tub and on the vanity and a q-tip on the vanity under some soap packets. I suggest you pass this place up.

The breakfast area was poorly stocked, with only a limited selection of items available in the early morning. For instance, there were just four muffins and three rolls, and once they were gone, they were not replenished. We stayed for two nights, and during our second breakfast, I encountered the same issue; the waffle mix was also unavailable when I arrived at 8:15 AM. I asked the receptionist at the front desk about it, and she apologized, saying, "We're sorry; our truck is on its way." The building is outdated, with many things broken or loose, and it is in urgent need of remodeling. As for the bed mattress—oh my goodness! When I sit on it, I can feel the springs, and it creaks as I move. Terrible bed mattress! "But you got what you paid for." We decided to use this hotel because it is pet-friendly, my highest recommendation. Avoid this hotel if you can afford 20 dollars extra a night.

I stayed at this hotel in November and it was a decent & quiet stay for what I paid. The breakfast selection wasn’t not ideal but I got decent rest. I went to book it again for this month and accidentally booked it for 3/1 (when you pick your date on hotels.com and browse other hotels it doesn’t hold your original date selection, and I didn’t catch it until after I received the confirmation email). Hotels.com and I have both tried to call the hotel repeated times to correct the booking as I still was interested in staying. It’s been 24 hours of me calling and hotels.com calling with no answer. We both have also messaged the hotel through the Hotels.com app with no answer either. I’m now going to cancel my corrected stay for March and stay at another hotel in the area seeing as this simple issue couldn’t be resolved. So don’t pick this place if you think you’ll have issues, because they do not care.

Room was gross, AC loud and inconsistent. Skipped breakfast because it was sketchy. Dead cockroach on the floor. Bed lacked pillows. Didn’t dare to pull down bed covers for fear of what was under it. If you told me there was a dead body in the room some time in the past I wouldn’t be surprised.
