I hate leaving bad reviews, it really takes something truly memorable, bad or good, for me to write a review. The Sealoft was renovated nicely. The building looks great, the interior is clean and it’s modern. The rooms were renovated as well, fresh and clean. The issues we had were unfortunately numerous. First, we were double charged, though the hotel said they’d take care of it, I had to follow up a few times. I just didn’t want to wait around for a refund… it’s a lot of money to be sitting on my card. It was finally taken care of though. The staff was absolutely great.
AThe bed was entirely too soft, and the sheets used were paper thin, in addition to feeling sand on them. Trying to get a goodnight rest was near impossible, the neighbors were loud, you could hear ever step they took. Thumb, thumb, thumb. It felt as though they walked back and forth the entire day and night. Kind of weird, but hey maybe that’s what they do on vacation: Thumb inside a hotel room at the beach 24 hours a day. Moving on… the showers were nicely designed, however the water pressure was lacking. Low to medium. The door to the bathroom would not close completely, minor but still a slight inconvenience for when you want to privately use the toilet. Speaking of doors… The front door was cumbersome, it took a lot of strength to both open and especially close it. We had to ram the door shut to ensure it was completely closed. The door was left ajar several times because of this.. accidentally.
