Quaint little cabin

Definitely a no frills stay on my motorcycle trek. The cabin was clean and comfortable but I must say that some yard work would have made a great deal of difference in first impressions. The grounds need mowing and looked really unkept. Luckily the cabin was far more card for. Comfy bed and ice at the office

A place to sleep

Okayish…at best. It works for a place to stay at nearly half the price of most other places in the Banff and Canmore area. Saying this place is rustic, it putting it pretty nicely. Expect cobwebs and ants crawling around your cabin. The smell of our cabin was reminiscent of ashtray and grandma’s basement. Mattresses were terrible, but better than the ground. Shower was small and dingy. You get the idea. Just don’t expect much, and you’ll be great!

Very disappointing

The cabins are small and offer virtually no amenities. We could barely move in the bathroom. The shower was so tiny, that even I, at only 5 feet tall could barely move in it. My husband, 6 foot tall and about 185 pounds couldn't move at all in it. We expected more for the price we paid. At the very least a few amenities in room and on grounds. The grounds were a terrible mess with junked cars parked near the entrance and office. Awful and would not recommend.

Run Down Chalets

Both the exterior and interior were a bit run-down. The number of spider webs covering the window, along with the lack of a window screen (which allowed bugs to fly in), made it impossible to open the window. As a result, we couldn’t sleep well due to the heat trapped inside, even with the fan running at its highest speed. Second, the mini fridge wouldn’t close properly. Although the host agreed to replace it, we were too exhausted that day to deal with the hassle. We ended up scraping off some of the ice that had built up in the freezer section and used one of our heavier items to keep the door shut. Third, one of the two chairs was broken. Fourth, the water kettle was quite dirty, with a significant amount of white calcium buildup inside. Overall, it felt like the owner was doing the bare minimum to keep the place operational. The only positive note was that the front desk person was friendly and responded quickly when we reported the fridge issue. That said, it was hard to justify the price for this accommodation relative to other alternatives.

Quaint and cute

Absolute bare bones of items in the chalet. Ex. only 2 towels for 2 adults. Ran out of hot water, and it wasn't a long shower. I was able to wash my hair and that's it. I love these cabins are they are so cute and cozy. For the increased summer time prices, a little bit more attention to amenities would have been appreciated.

Very cute place.

Super cute place, everyone was so nice! It’s rustic but comfortable. Just a few minutes away from Banff and fewer to Canmore for all the things you may need. Small cons: if you arrive after dark, the numbers on the buildings are not super easy to see. Also the WiFi code was posted on a shelf hidden behind the TV. All in all a very cute and convenient place to stay.

Bed bugs?

The room smelled so bad. The cabin was probably 100 years old. The room was dusty and other reviews complained about bed bugs. We left and did not stay.

Lots of better places for that money.

These cabins are in dire need of renovations. They have replaced the flooring and that's it. The bathroom is extremely tiny and very old fixtures. The bed is very hard and springy, probably 30 years old. Not many amenities. And definately not worth the $400/ night. This is more like a $69/night stay.Staff was friendly.

Run down over priced

Stayed one night. Property is in disrepair, drove in wondering if we should just drive away, poor customer service on check in. Run down inside cabins as well. Bedding was clean. Over priced

Owner needs to up date cabins. Our had a leak in bathroom and bedroom. Bathroom and kitchens cabinets we pre-1950's and in bad shape. Cabins could be cute but in bad need of repair.
