Lovely stay

We had a lovely stay in Casa Claver. Benjamin and the other guy at the reception were super helpful and help find us a doctor for our son who was sick. The room was very big and the rooftop pool was really pleasant, with a wonderful view on San Claver’s domes.

Great stay. Nice clean room with great air conditioning and a great private feeling balcony. The pool area well maintained and was a great break from the heat. Solid breakfast included and was dropped off at the room in the morning. Had no problem checking out at 630am to get to early flight and when we discovered the city was closed to cars for a race, Benjamin at the front desk helped us bring our bags about 0.5km to get out of the walled area. Highly recommend.

This property was a dream from day one until we left! Starting with Benjamin at the reception and the ladies that worked the kitchen, it felt like we were staying with family! The location of the hotel is superb, a walk from everywhere. The roof top pool and the views were excellent. We travel a lot & our main complain are the mattresses & pillows, but not here, best night sleep outside our home. Already planning our next stay at Casa Claver!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Claver Hotel, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by James with warm hospitality that made me feel right at home. The hotel itself is charming, the rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. The amenities were top-notch, with nice pools perfect for unwinding. The breakfast spread was a highlight, with a variety of fresh, delicious options to start the day. Thanks to the housekeeping ladies for keeping the room clean and making the most delicious breakfast. James and Benjamin were incredibly attentive, offering personalized recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. Special thanks to the manager, Catalina, for making our stay unforgettable with her warmth and attention to detail! I left feeling completely rejuvenated and already look forward to my next visit. Overall this is a nice boutique hotel. I enjoyed the rooftop pool. If booking the standard room, just know that you may or may not get a balcony as pictured. This is very confusing. Upon check-in, I was put in a room on the 1st floor without a balcony. After expressing my concern with what I'd expected (a balcony), I was moved to an apt room which was very nice. This may have been due to my Gold status as well, though. Breakfast is delicious and delivered at the requested time.

Unfortunately the staff ruined a great stay by humiliating my wife over a stain on a towel for which we were charged $150,000 COP. When I asked about the charge, the man at the desk confronted my wife with a picture of a stained towel and a discussion of how he thought the towel got that way. My wife was so humiliated that she cried on the spot. Never in my life have I spent $500 per night to have a front desk male worker discuss sex with my wife. This was humiliation plus sexual harassment! When I escalated my complaint to the authorities n site manager I was offered an explanation of their policy instead of an attempt to make things right. Also for American and European tourists, beware, this hotel is in the middle of a 24hr red light district! Gross! Furthermore the night time guard watches videos all night at max volume which can be heard loudly in the rooms due to an open concept design that allows noise into the guest rooms. Also the breakfast was gross and very dry. NOT FIT FOR AMERICANS and EUROPEANS who are expecting a luxury boutique hotel experience.
