Amazing Hotel - lots of stairs though

This was one of the most amazing hotel experiences I have ever had (and I own a travel agency). Awesome location, and the room was phenomenal. The only downside was the stairs. I have a spine held up by metal rods, so the stairs were difficult. Otherwise, I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Pretentious

I found that the hotel staff were pretentious and catered more to French Canadians than English speaking guests. Breakfast was not well stocked. Often had to ask for items to be refilled. Location was good for walking.

Très bien situé mais bruyant

Hôtel très bien situé, qui permet de visiter Québec à pied, au cœur du vieux Québec. Possibilité de mettre la voiture dans un parking public pour 20$ la nuit. La chambre est confortable. Par contre si vous êtes côté rue, c’est très bruyant très tôt le matin avec beaucoup de passages de camions (l’hôtel n’y peut rien mais c’est bon à savoir). Le petit déjeuner est correct sans plus. Je ne connais pas bien les tarifs de Québec mais en comparaison à Montréal et Toronto, j’ai trouvé cet hébergement assez cher au vu des prestations.

First trip to Quebec

Amazing location in the heart of Old Quebec. You can walk to anything from there. Charming rooms. Staff friendly and very helpful (we speak very little French but it did not matter). I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice stay

The hotel is lovely and very well situated. It was a great spot to explore the city but was less crowded than the upper city. Only peculiar thing is that half the bathroom (sink and bathtub) was in the bedroom. Fortunately shower and toilet had a door to shut between it and them.

Enjoyed our stay in suite 402

Suite 402 ( which was in a separate building from main hotel) was spacious and bright and absolutely beautifully clean. View out over covered courtyard and other buildings - maybe not the prettiest!! Comfortable bed/ bedroom/ lounge area and small kitchen area with sink coffee machine microwave and a selection of glasses and crockery for your use and ample wardrobe / storage area facing. Desk area also available if required. Bathroom area was massive with a wet room and jacuzzi bath. Only disappointment was no proper reception foyer or bar/ seating area in main hotel where you could sit and relax ….and breakfast room was very small and at times felt crowded and difficult trying to collect food and coffee especially if other residents decided to sit and eat in this room - the alternative place to eat was in the seated and covered courtyard just outside which was much more pleasant. Breakfast offering was in plentiful supply but choice/selection was quite limited and didn’t change from day to day - but this would be my only little criticism of this hotel. The location of the hotel is great - within walking distance (15 mins max) of the train station /lots of restaurants around ..and a very good steak restaurant actually attached to the hotel…within the old town area itself and two streets back from the riverfront. Easy access to the upper part of town via the nearby funicular. Great location. Would recommend.
