Room switch at bed needs fixing, more coat hangers needed, bathroom, toilet seat needs fixing mould around bath and extractor fan not working, when we got there about 5pm,was told the restaurant was closed and when we came back at 9.30pm the bar was still shut and it looked like they don't open the bar at all

Disappointing Stay – Overpriced and Not as Advertised I recently stayed at this hotel while visiting my children's school. Overall, the experience was disappointing. The hotel itself was okay, and the staff were friendly and tried their best to help. However, the facilities were far from what I expected, especially considering the price. My main concern was the bathroom. Instead of a properly finished bathroom floor, it appeared to have some kind of plastic flooring or covering, which felt cheap and unhygienic. It certainly didn't make me feel comfortable using the shower.

The hotel itself was excellent, as were the staff. The attached restaurant however, was atrocious. The service was practically non existent. We had tea and (very nice) cake there in the afternoon (eventually), and when we turned up for breakfast the next morning, our tea dishes were still on the table. At dinner time we sat for fifteen minutes before having to go and find someone to take our order. Frozen chips took a hour to arrive. In the morning, despite arriving 15mins after breakfast was advertised, we were told that the chef hadn’t turned up yet. When we were eventually served, the advertised ‘fry up’ meal was made up of the cheapest ingredients eg frankfurter sausages. We were mostly the only customers at the restaurant, and now we know why. This really put us off what was a wonderful hotel.

All floors creak, no sound proofing or seems to be none. Continental breakfast is poor, food offering and facilities, need to ask for coffee, cups, spoons.

It was room 206 . There was blood on the bed sheets underneath the pillows. No soap on the basin to wash . Unable to get coffee before nine am please log a complaint and want the refund as urgent please

In the middle of a industrial estate - stay away!

Limited evening menu due to lack of product, less than a third of the breakfast menu was available. Vastly over charged for a £5.00 bottle of wine @ £25.00, little choice of other drinks (no draught beers)

Ok room, Terrible food.

Room was ok, Relatively clean but the floorboards were so creaky I thought I was in a 200 year old house. I went down to the restaurant which didn't have a beer license ordered fish and chips. It came after about 20 minutes with the batter lay on top of the fish (like it had been pre cooked) and it was anemic. I cut into the fish and it was completely raw.

Riverloads

The hotel is nice enough. My husband and I went for breakfast. The floor is not clean, and there are a lot of crumbs everywhere. The 2 pillows are too soft and it's so uncomfortable. No air-conditioning. We only have 2 towels, no hand towels. The bathroom floor is squeaking a lot, and when I used the tap on the sink, it made a weird noise. The ambience in the restaurant is quite dull. But the night reception is very good, we asked for a fan because it was hot and we got it within 5 minutes.

Reception staff were ok, but they were not very informative, I had to ask where my room was and I was not told that the lift was out of order and my room was on the 2nd floor! The rooms are sign posted as ‘suites’ this is definitely not the case. It was a basic room which was clean. There was no shelf or anywhere to put toiletries in the bathroom which was quite annoying and not practical. There was no instructions for the tv and as it was a smart tv I had to work out where all the channels were, I do feel that someone who’s not used to that would struggle. There was no information in the room about the on-site restaurant which I feel is a big mistake as I had no idea about breakfast. Overall I probably would not stay here again
