Good hotel for the price. I got a slightly bigger room and it was comfortable for solo work travel. Would be good for a couple as well. Bathroom was normal NYC size. The hotel, lobby, restaurant and room were fairly clean. The lobby/bar/restaurant area was nice and the breakfast and coffee delicious. Air conditiining in my room wasn't working so they gave me a floor standing cooling tower the first evening and repaired it the next day. So kudos for the service. The hotel's proximity to the Starett Lehigh Building, a trade show/event space is it's biggest plus point. However the 27th st block it's on isn't the best. I didn't feel unsafe but the displaced folks, their trash and relative emptiness of the street wasn't appealing. I would stay here again if I had another event at Starett.

The room was clean and the staff was polite. NO WORKING AIR CONDITIONER is a deal-breaker. I reported it on Day 2 of my stay -- by Day 5 of my stay there was still no cool air in my room. I stopped by the front desk several times a day for updates and was just told engineers were on Floor 5 working on it. No offer to change to a different floor or proactive information. The hotel is affordable and in a good location, but I won't stay there again.
