This is a beautiful old style Grand hotel which has been beautifully renovated. Breakfast on the large terrace overlooking the ferry port was very good. The staff were very helpful and were able to let us check in early. The concierge was able to talk us through restaurants and beaches for our short stay. We went to the beach club owned by the hotel on the other side of Spetses town which was great.

The Poseidonion Grand hotel is a spectacular property with a fantastic location right next to the harbor at Dapia. We loved our room, the fantastic breakfasts and the amazing facility. Elegance of a bygone era with a gourmet restaurant and a warm and friendly staff. The concierge was incredibly proactive and helpful. The location could not be more convenient. The breakfast was very good and the restaurant’s new chef makes each dinner a culinary delight. Service was exceptional. This was our favorite hotel on the hidden gem of the Aegean. Everything was wonderful, the room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good as well. The only thing that needs improvement is the temperature control and lack of enough air conditioning. The thermostat only goes to 18°C and then goes back to 19° by itself. The room never got cool enough. Also, there weren’t really enough towels for 2 people (so we asked for more) and no hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes or towels. Otherwise everything was fantastic!

The Grand Damme of Spetses

This is a first class, grand hotel on the beautiful island of Spetses. Clearly it was built with touches of class throughout and it has been renovated to modern standards. We enjoyed the breakfast, bar, pool, and just lounging in the room. We were located in the back building, closer to the pool. Our room however did not have a regular shower, but rather an old claw foot tub with a hand held shower spray so you had to pull curtains around the tub to take a shower. Not the most convenient. Next time I'll ask for a different room. We had dinner on the veranda and it was excellent (but pricey of course). Overall, a good stay.

We travelled around and stayed at 4 different hotels during our time in Greece. I was really looking forward to staying here the most as it is such a well established property. Maybe it was end of season malaise but the experience was tainted by the poor disposition of some of the staff. Breakfast service by most of the staff was miserable. Went for drinks on the terrace one evening and ignored by 3 staff standing chatting together, we had to get up and go to them for service in the end. Zero apologies for room mix up, they blamed expedia but certainly didnt find it in their hearts to offer an apology. We would never return based on our experience unfortunately. Find an alternative boutique hotel on the island where the staff are happy to have you and want to create a memorable stay for you for the right reasons is my advice.
