Pros: Cold air, staff that was kind and so helpful & cute puppy dog. Quiet area with night sky views- close to great gas station breakfast buffet Neg: Shower floor felt unsteady with soft spots - room dated but sufficient - toilet struggled to fill up enough water to flush. The determining factor for me for “can’t do it” was the putting used toilet paper in a lidded can beside toilet since you can’t flush paper. These items are not reflection of the staff as she was great !

The place is great considering the location. It was so windy when we came so it was expected to be dusty. There was some stains on the sofa which was fairly new with one of the cabins. Overall it was a great place to stay!

Air conditioning worked very well, only downside was unit was loud. TV couldn’t stay connected to the wifi. Everything is old, which isn’t a bad thing, but could definitely use some TLC and a good deep clean. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Dogs everywhere 👍 When we got into our room, there was feces in the toilet, dried pee on the toilet seat, the entire room stank, and the toilet was broken. We had to manually pull the cord in the tank to get the tank/toilet to fill each time we used it. Couldn’t flush toilet paper. There were dead bugs and one live bug in our shower. Shower floor was also soft in spots and felt like it would cave if you stood on it. My husband and I were booked for three nights, but left after two because of the conditions. Staff was very understanding and refunded us the night. Apparently the maintenance man recently quit when we stayed. Location is great for Big Bend, especially with limited options in the desert, but if we were charged the same amount for that motel in a larger town, it would be highway robbery.

Stayed two nights, average about $180 per night. It's expensive, but no refrigerator, no microwave, no table lamp, no shampoo and conditioner, no tissue paper, no ice (you can buy bagged ice). Carpet is old and perhaps not clean, bed sheet is not white, door and windows have gaps to allow bugs to get in. The only positive things are the location is close to the park, and the manager was very nice.
