I did NOT like it at all !

I hated everything about the food. The first day I went to the snack bar, there were flies everywhere. It was such a turn off! The food at the buffet was not good either, I just left and bought food on the road or at Bavaro Beach next door. The bathroom was so hard to look at. In between the tiles were brown and look like they years of dirt and soap scum trapped and the pipes were rusty and clearly old and needing replacement. The lady said it was “wear and tear due to cleaning” WHAT!!!? I showered in cold water because there was just no hot water. On the last morning I had to leave the shower running for 20min before it got a little lukewarm. Shout out to Erick though, he tried his best to make me feel comfortable and even got the restaurant to give me a whole cake for my birthday. Overall, this hotel needs some serious upgrades to even be considered anything more than a 2 star hotel.

Avoid if you can afford elsewhere

A la carte restaurant is terrible, slow. Buffet mediocre and unless you are early they don’t replensish the food. Few staff speak English. Tiny amount of cocktails on the menu and all made with cheapest liquor and often don’t have the ingredients for all of them. Can be very noisy. Small pools. Only upside is a couple of the bar staff are great. Beach is terrible covered in seaweed and smelly so cannot get to the sea. Sister hotel charged $50 for a day pass

Atendimento da recepção/check in muito bom em especial da Katherine! Restaurante principal (café/almoço e jantar) bom, porém o restaurante a la carte com reserva (El Sueño) só está com Menu de lanches. Aliás lanches ruins. O caminho para chegar ao restaurante está com esgoto a céu aberto, cheiro terrível e não houve sequer uma passagem temporária sem ter que pisar no esgoto. O quarto é bom, ar condicionado, frigobar e chuveiro idem. Não é possível frequentar a piscina do terraço da extensão do hotel em frente a praia. Fomos direcionados a sair imediatamente.

Chegamos bem cedo para o checkin e o pessoal da recepção foi atencioso, disponibilizou acesso ao café e almoço e antecipou um pouco o acesso ao quarto pois viram que estávamos cansados. A recepcionista Katherin foi especial pela atenção e simpatia conosco. O hotel tem bastante áreas em manutenção, mas o acesso ao restaurante El Sueño está com esgoto a céu aberto em frente aos quartos. Cheiro muito ruim. Reservamos uma noite para jantar lá porém atualmente o restaurante tem menu somente de lanches. Não é mais como antes, as sobremesas também não é possível escolher no cardápio, ficam disponibilizadas no buffet e não difere em nada do almoço e jantar do restaurante normal. Os quartos são confortáveis, ar condicionado e banho bons. A praia em frente está com muito sargaço e não tem limpeza, está acumulado.Optamos pelo hotel pelos dois primeiros dias para descansarmos um pouco, porém não recomendo. O preço até é razoável!

The reviews about not having hot water are partially right. We had hot water once in our room but heard that other rooms had it but it would go cold for a couple minutes mid shower. Not having hot water wasn't a problem because it was so hot that a cold shower was welcome. Until you want to shave your legs and have goosebumps. And reception had no bandaids available in their first aid kit when there was an inevitable shaving cut. So, bring first aid. Our room was immediately next to a main pool and where the nightly entertainment was. If you're not looking for a party, make a point to request a quiet area of the hotel or you won't be able to sleep or even nap until after 11/11:30pm. The street is old, as is the infrastructure so the street often floods with grey water that smells like sewage in the afternoon but is gone by morning. I read complaints about this and, for sure, it's not ideal but consider what you're paying and that you're in a country that doesn't have the same municipal facilities you're used to. You should stay home if you don't expect to encounter these kinds of inconveniences. Or pay 4x as much to stay somewhere else. Roll with it or don't, but don't complain when you get what you paid for. If you're looking for a calm, quiet getaway, this is not it. If you're looking for an all day pool party that's family friendly, this might be your vibe. Most importantly, there's a puppy that lives on the beach that will steal your heart.

A entrada do hotel, esgoto

Horrível é pouco para avaliar esse hotel, a nota dele deveria ser -10, pois é difícil encontrar um ponto positivo nesse resort, se é que podemos chamar resort. As condições gerais são péssimas, acomodações antigas, ar condicionado barulhento, cheiro horrível de esgoto, em todo hotel, não tem água quente, mudei de quarto melhorou um pouco , a comida é horrível, pedidas pior ainda, é atendimento péssimo, pessoas sem a menor condição de atender aos hóspedes, são grosseiras na sua maioria, tratam os hóspedes como se estivessem fazendo favor. A higiene no hotel é zeroooo. As expressões que mais ouvimos lá foi , esse hotel é Velho e feito s facão, a comida parece lavagem pra porco. Por mais que eu tente, é difícil falar o quanto que esse hotel é ruim, jamais voltaria ou indicaria. A rua onde fica o hotel ficou por tds os dias que estávamos lá cheia de água , o esgoto do hotel vazava pelos bueiros e a rua ficava cheia de água do esgoto desse local, e dentro do hotel o esgoto tb transbordava. Como se não bastasse td isso ainda vimos uma cobra andando pelo jardim, mostramos aos funcionários e eles disseram que não podia fazer nada. Enfim, td nesse hotel precisa ser mudado, ou melhor fechado, é questão de saúde pública, comidas ruins, azedas, esgoto transbordando, e atendimento péssimo. Enfim, se fosse enumerar as questões negativas, gastaria págs e págs e sonda seria pouco. O hotéis.com deveria excluir essa opção de hospedagem, pois as fotos não refletem a realidade do mesmo.
