Great space, reasonable price, clean & fairly quiet room. Staff was helpful and provided a little heater for us. Great location. Would definitely stay here again.
However we paid more for one room which had a private balcony and my sister paid less for a much more spacious room with a shared balcony, which was kind of odd. She wanted the private balcony and I wanted the space so we switched and that room’s bathroom shower drain was on the higher part of the floor so the bathroom was in perpetual puddle, Totally annoying, nonetheless Id still stay here again.

Pennylane hotel is a great place to stay in lower tapovan, great location, close to the cafes, restaurants, markets and the ghat, ganga river. What made it even more great, it is located in a quiet street away from the busy loud road. The rooms are clean and spacious, with Mountain views. There is a roof terrace and a cafe in the garden which gives chilled relaxing vibes. There is also a yoga shala and pottery studio on the rooftop. I extended my stay about 3 times as I enjoyed it there so much. All the staff were warm and friendly, always willing to help when needed. Roshan at the front desk made my experience extra comfortable, safe and cared for, he attended to all my requests quickly and efficiently. Amazing stay, I definitely recommend and I sure will be returning when I’m back in rishikesh.
