The rooms are actually nice and modern. However there was no curtain on both BIG windows. Only light curtains which do not keep the room even a little dark. But the worst was the service as many other visitors mentioned before. My room lock didn't work. I reported 5 times and nobody came to repair it for 3 full days AND nights. CONCLUSION: if you have a problem (and you might not) then you are completely left alone. Three days later they wrote that "We do have multiple properties and not all calls can be answered especially on weekdays due to volume of calls and inquiries." Not even a word of an apology nothing.

I enjoyed my stay here and appreciated the cleanliness and decor in the room. The only downside during my trip was someone accidentally opened the door to my room and not sure if it was another guest but I just made sure to lock my door.

Worst experience ever!!! I stayed for 2 nights over Christmas. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Our room was on the 1st floor, and water was leaking from the room upstairs. I discovered it at 6:00 a.m., and some of my clothes were wet. I couldn’t use the laundry because it was busy since the night before, and I didn’t have time to wait.

The doorknob lock would not open with the electronics. Then they waited-delayed getting locksmith for 3 hours while we’re stuck outside in rain. Cleanliness: the towels were moldy, flooring had dry pet urine, previous persons left us dirty food bowl, shower needed cleaning.

DO NOT stay here. Believe the negative reviews. The positives are this place is in a great location, the building is modern, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Having a washer and dryer was a plus too. That’s about it. I had a shorter stay but still had to deal with issues that could’ve easily been addressed but took too long to get right by management. When I arrived, I was informed by another guest that there was no hot water. When the issue was ‘fixed’ hot water was only coming out of the sink in my bathroom, the shower was still cold. Before that, the Wi-Fi went out so it was difficult for everyone to work/connect etc.The next day, the electricity turned off apparently due to ownership/managements negligence of properly managing the place. Any maintenance person who came by to resolve issues either hadn’t heard from the company or had no idea what they were doing. It’s more of a money grab situation than anything else. Unless you’re ok dealing with problems EVERYDAY, I would NOT recommend. I repeat: don’t do it.

The room itself was beautiful and such a great price. Very quiet and clean. The entire home was spotless and well attended. Loved my comfy bed and big shower. Only thing that was a bit stressful was finding my way in. The listing on Expedia said my room was in unit B, but it was actually in unit A. So I’m lucky I just ended up trying the code on both units and finding my way inside. I think in general the listing and checking in to the property could use some more communication and clarity. Otherwise the experience was great!

Listed as multi room but was a single room. No code to get in provide, no wifi available. Neighbor had to help get us in and get codes. Bedding was still damp, curtain didn’t block the light from outside so the bedroom was bright all night. It was clean and I think still under construction but should not have been rented yet.

My initial impression of Dondo Stay was positive, but that changed quickly upon arrival. I arrived late at night after an 8-hour drive, expecting a clean and secure space. Unfortunately, my bathroom was not clean (shaved hairs in the sink and hair in the shower), and the bed sheets were mismatched and covered in lint, which made me question whether they had been laundered at all. More concerning was the lack of basic security. The front door was not functioning properly, and a side door had been left unlocked. Another guest actually stopped me to ask how to get into the house, as the entry mechanisms were not working — which further heightened my discomfort. A dog right outside my window barked through the night. When I contacted the hotel about the unclean room, I was told housekeeping could come clean it “now.” At that point, given the condition of the room and safety concerns, I chose to leave a day early. Communication throughout the stay felt impersonal and scripted, almost as if I were texting with AI bots. I received a generic “thank you for letting us know,” followed the next day by a message outlining checkout procedures, even though I had already left. I later received a message asking me to leave a positive review in exchange for 15% off a future stay. Needless to say, I will not be returning. While the concept has potential, cleanliness, safety, and meaningful human communication must be non-negotiable in hospitality. Sadly, all three were lacking here.

I booked a two-night stay and received confirmation, including a response from the host when I inquired about directions from the airport. However, upon arrival, there was no one present, and no instructions were provided for accessing the property. My booking still showed as active. When I contacted Hotels.com, I was informed only then, that the host had cancelled my reservation via email despite active on the app. This alone was highly distressing. While attempting to resolve the situation outside the property, the experience escalated further when a police helicopter began circling overhead and shining a spotlight on me. Shortly after, two armed police officers approached me from a police car as if I were a suspect. This was an extremely frightening and humiliating experience. This situation reflects a serious failure in communication and basic duty of care. No guest should be placed in such a position.
