A great location, the room was comfortable for what we needed. The kitchen on our floor was out of action but we didn't need it so it was ok. The breakfast was superb for quality and choice both food and drinks. Check in was easy and they keep your bags for you when you check out at no extra cost. The site was quiet except for bin day early in the morning ( we were round the back) .One to recommend.

Stayed here after attending performance at the globe and exhibitions at Tate modern - very convenient for both - by London standards it was cheap - basic student accommodation with no frills but fine for one night. Breakfast was plentiful and a lot of variety. If you just want a cheap but clean bed for the night it’s great. If you want ambience perhaps not. There is also some parking although it’s not bookable there were spaces when we were there - another positive in London

Excellent location. No frills. College dorm vibes. Very basic, but if you're on a budget or want that monastic/college dorm feel- this is an excellent choice. Located right next to tate. Breakfast is excellent- however the coffee machine line is at least a 20min wait. Staff were very helpful, friendly and always available. Will stay here again. Would also like to do a self-led writers retreat and stay here... nothing to be distracted by in the room! Thought it would be a younger youth hostel crowd but there were all types- business people, european travelers, artists, all ages, families.

A great overnight stay. First time here - recommended by friends. I had a problem with my kettle, which affected the electric sockets. Even though this was late at night the staff quickly came to help andxwere polite and efficient. Breakfast is amazing (as I had been told) and be prepared to queue unless you get there very early. Wish I could return but booked up when I want to come !

A friend and I spent two nights at LSE Bankside in July. The property is in a fabulous location practically on the riverbank and next to the Tate Modern. The area is vibrant but not crowded. The accommodation is great, a basic room but clean and comfortable with a private bathroom ( great shower), with the advantage of the use of a communal kitchen. Staff were lovely, breakfast buffet style and plentiful. Added bonus was being able to leave our bags after check-out in a manned luggage room. Great stay

Booked a single room with shared bathroom facilities but pleasantly was given a triple room with en suite. Unfortunately the toilet was broken upon arrival but this was quickly fixed by the maintenance team when reported in the morning. The facilities are very very basic and the breakfast was extremely greasy and dry (both the cooked breakfast and the pancakes/pastries etc) but it felt safe and was in a convenient location, which as a lone female is always reassuring. I would stay again if needed but definitely not the best uni halls I have stayed in.

Excellent location. Fine for one night. Bed was a camp style spare bed with a thin mattress which wasn’t the most comfortable. It’s a student halls so it’s a basic room and shared bathroom and excellent value for the price. Breakfast is plentiful but the “hot” food was pretty cold. Would stay again for a one night stop over.

Basic but very clean accommodation in excellent location for many of the major tourist spots. The towels were surprisingly white and fluffy and daily housekeeping was unexpected as were hangers in the wardrobe. Our room was at the back of the building and we found this to be noisy throughout the night making sleeping quite difficult even with the windows closed. We slept better on our second night and even managed to leave the windows open until 04:30 but maybe bring earplugs if a light sleeper. A large fridge in a shared kitchen was available to use as was a microwave but the oven and hob were disconnected. The big plus for this place is the breakfast which really set us up for the day as there was so much choice with hot/cold/vegan options including fresh fruit, porridge, scrambled/fried/boiled eggs, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, pork/chicken sausage, baked beans, croissants, pain au chocolat, cold meats, cheese, salad and choice of yoghurts. Parking was also available although we didn’t need it. We would certainly consider staying here again when visiting London.
