We had a wonderful stay at Mu Bungalow. Great staff who were always so helpful and made for a very special vacation. Beautiful location too! We loved our villa on the cliff.. just beware of the monkeys. We would definitely stay again

We had such an amazing stay at this hotel — it honestly felt like going on a peaceful meditation and yoga retreat. The entire property is beautiful, calm, and incredibly relaxing. The grounds are stunning, the villas are amazing, and the staff made the experience even more special with their warm hospitality. The onsite restaurant offers so many healthy options and the food was absolutely delicious. One of our favorite parts was that you don’t even need to leave the property to watch the sunset — it’s literally right in your backyard. The hotel also offers a beautiful sunset dinner experience, and so many people from other hotels actually come here just for dinner and sunset, so definitely book early because it gets very popular. They also have live piano music every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday which creates such a relaxing atmosphere. The infinity pool is amazing and so peaceful to relax in. The location is also perfect — only about 10 minutes to Padang Padang Beach and around 20 minutes to Uluwatu Temple. There are also shops and restaurants within walking distance from the property. Honestly, we spent most of our time at the hotel because it gives you no reason to leave. It’s peaceful, relaxing, and feels like a true escape. We would definitely stay here again and next time would love to try one of the ocean view rooms. Highly recommended, especially for the value!

Vi spenderade en vecka på Bali och Mu Bungalows var vår sista anhalt efter två dagar i Ubud och tre nätter i Canggu. Vi bodde här i två nätter och hade en fin vistelse. Maten var fantastisk – både frukost, lunch och middag var verkligen jättegoda! Personalen var mycket trevlig och serviceinriktad. Utsikten och poolen får också 5 stjärnor. Det regnade lite under vår vistelse, vilket enligt personalen gjorde att aporna inte kom fram – så trots att vi blev varnade såg vi inte en enda. Våra två sista nätter bodde vi i en bungalow som hade behov av renovering. Vi har sett hur fina de kan bli när de fräschas upp, så vi hoppas att ägarna väljer att investera i detta framöver. Vi reste tidigt på morgonen (06:30) och uppskattade verkligen att vi fick med oss en take-away-frukost. Väldigt uppskattat! En liten reflektion är också kring aporna – kanske vore det bra att på sikt se över att inte mata dem, även om vi förstår att det kan vara svårt när det väl har blivit en vana. Vi har ju liknande utmaningar med måsar hemma och vet att det ofta är det enda som fungerar.

I have taken some time to write this review so I could properly consider my feelings. The property is beautiful in all ways. The location is amazing, our room was spectacular and the public areas are top class. It is expensive but we consciously made this decision as it was the last leg of a 2 month trip and we wanted to end on a high. The problem for us was how we enjoyed our time during our stay, which is the reason for our low overall score. We had the Yoga room, which was like a tree house above the yoga studio. The room was huge and had a terrace. The problem was that the room was practically unusable for anything other than sleeping. Other reviewers have mentioned the monkeys , we had to keep all windows and doors of the room closed at all times to avoid the raids by the monkeys. We learned this the hard way! The room had a terrace but the only furniture were 2 sun lounger cushions and an umbrella(that was broken). We did suggest a small table and chairs would be useful. There was no refrigerator in the room which was the first time in 2 months where we didn’t have one. It was also awkward returning to our room and walking through the yoga class The pool was good but our problem started at 4.30 every afternoon when the preparation for the evening dinner started. We felt that we were being pressured to vacate the loungers , especially when Reserved signs were being placed on every lounger. Overall it seemed that the external guests were more important than guests.
