I have stayed here several times. I like it. The price has increased by one third. Refrigerators are no longer in rooms. Less service at breakfast. Television is not large enough to watch from the bed. Increase price and decrease quality . Still the room is big. The bed is good. People are friendly. It’s a beautiful place .

We stayed at the monastery on two occasions. The room we had on our first stay had a stained and dirty carpet. We asked for it to be vacuumed and they did that, but they would be far better off, tearing up the carpet to expose the wood underneath, which I expect is beautiful. On our second stay the room was clean and had none of those issues. It’s a beautiful place with very cool old furniture. The place has lots of character and is steeped in history. It felt very special to stay there.
