Irritable Staff; Get Ready
The staff in this hotel are remarkably rude, particularly the staff in the dining area, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. They roll their eyes at you with basic requests, and they speak about your request audibly and within hearing distance of you to the other staff, roasting you for your requests. It's really a bit cartoonish and very primitive, most certainly not expected and not appropriate.
In addition, as they begin breakfast at 730 or so, you will be awakened, as they bang the espresso portafilter against a desk loudly after making each shot. This can easily be heard in the rooms near the kitchen, even with the windows closed. There are quieter ways to manage an espresso portafilter than this.
Once again with noise, the elevator chimes very loudly, and the chime when the elevator arrives at each floor can easily be heard within the rooms adjacent to the elevator (and many rooms are close as there are not many rooms on each floor), with the door to the room closed. This chime could be turned off, but obviously has not been.
You get 1 room key, even though rooms have three beds. This is of course to ensure you use no electricity when out of the room, but if you are traveling as a group, and one person returns to the room before others, you will have to stop at reception to have them let you in. They often become QUITE irritable with this.
