Beautiful no frills Lake Lodging

This was an amazing place to stay. The room was no frills but extremely clean and comfortable with everything needed for stay on lake. The grounds were beautiful and everything needed for lake fun and fishing or simply soaking up the view. The fishing peer was well set up from catching, cleaning and cooking. Enjoyed the heard of deer around the grounds.

Nice place to stay

The room was clean and comfortable. I loved the area behind cabin overlooking the lake and the fishing pier was nice. We had beautiful sunsets and visits from the deers.

Safe quiet, clean Beautiful area to enjoy every morning and every evening. I enjoyed my stay there. I’m looking forward to coming back and maybe trying the tiny house that’s on the property. The painted sky inn is set up for families and friends to enjoy lake life with lots of amenities, I have and will be telling my friends about this place.

This is my second visit to Pained Sky Inn on Lake Buchanan. The location is perfect for my Kayaks. The views and sunsets are amazing here. Easy contactless check-in and great communication via text. The grounds are well kept, and I like that it’s gated with code only access.

Exactly what we were looking for! We loved our stay at Painted Sky. The room was comfortable and clean. The kitchen had all that we needed in order to cook a meal and enjoy while gazing out at the sunset over the lake. Deer wandering the neighborhood make for an enchanting atmosphere. We liked that it was a scenic 20 minute drive from town, but some may prefer a property closer to restaurants and shopping. We explored the area during the day and enjoyed the view in the mornings and evenings. Quiet, peaceful, quaint... just a very relaxing getaway.

Peace and Quiet

I needed the peace and quite that the location offered. The only drawback was the drive from the main road to the venue. It was a little nerve wracking with the skinny 2 lanes and the weather. I would revisit in better weather to take advantage of the water activities offered.

Really enjoyed our stay here! Reserved two rooms . Both were extremely clean ! Super quiet. Gated property . Kitchen area was nicely stocked with the utensils we needed . Staff was very attentive and asked if we were enjoying our stay. Beautiful scenery right off the back porch of room . Would definitely stay here again.

Great for fishermen

This is a great place to stay if you are a fisherman. Otherwise, keep in mind this is an old cinder block facility that is run down. When we arrived late at night, hundreds of bugs were swarming our door and entered the room with us. Bugs were everywhere…on the bed, walls, ceiling. The basics of the room were clean (floor, sink, bed), but the walls, baseboards, light fixtures, etc were dirty. It needs a deep clean. The AC is a window unit. HUGE NEGATIVE: there are french glass doors with flimsy plastic blinds that let in blinding light with sunrise, making it impossible to sleep. It’s literally like a spotlight shining in your entire room. If you get up at the crack of dawn, it’s great. If you arrive at 3:00 am and need to sleep in, it’s awful. Positives: it’s beside the lake, and there are dozens of deer around in the evening.

The view is good. The room is ok. The bathroom faucet is not working, seems clogged. It has stove and full sized refrigerator (much appreciated). The water taste quite bad, it would be nice to provide a few free bottle of water. Not sure if there are vending machine for water. The lake is seriously low, surprisingly lots of catfish tho. But i didnt come for catfish… Overall, it was a good stay! Especially if the water not so low.
