大型の古いホテルですが、大切にメンテナンスしながら使われてきたのが分かります。宿泊客の立場にたった、使い心地を考えた部屋でした。 立体駐車場へは宴会場の前を通過しないとならなず、チェックアウトの際は政治家のパーティーの受付中だったため、カジュアルな格好で歩いて気まずい空気を感じましたが、徳島市内では駐車場が有料のホテルも多い中、無料なので助かります。 チェックインした19時頃は宿泊客（特に子どもの声）や、何か金属音のようなものがずっと聞こえていたので心配しましたが、疲れもあったのか‥ゆっくり休めました。 徳島出張の際はまた利用しても良いと思うホテルでした。

チェックイン時、フロント係が朝食の説明で、いきなり「朝食会場がわかりますか」と言った。 旅行宿泊客に対して何ということか。当然にわかりませんと返答したら、場所の説明を始めた。最初から変なホテルだと思った。 バスタブのお湯（１／３位のお湯量）を排水したら、床に漏水してトイレの脇まで水浸しになった。床に黒カビのような汚れがあるので、随分と長い間そのままだったと推測する。 朝食では食事中の席札を渡さないのはおかしい。お皿の隣に置いてあるだけ。
