I stayed in the "Diana" room. The small room is perfect for a solo traveler! The small closet and mini fridge served their purpose and the bed was very comfortable, not too hard or soft. The bathroom was very clean with a nice size shower and hot water. Really appreciated the bathroom night light sensor that keeps you from 'bumping around' in the dark. The unexpected bonus in the bathroom was a towel warming rack!

This is the perfect location for walking wherever you need to be in Rome! We loved the accommodations! It was clean and very comfortable. The shuttle to and from the airport by Dario was fantastic. This is the perfect location if you come to Rome for easy walk to the colosseum. Host of this hotel is amazing, helpful, and knows the area for assistance. The rooms are super cute, comfortable beds and the breakfast is ala Italian style and dining around the corner is amazing.

If you are going to Rome this guest house is a great bargain compared to many other hotels in the area. I especially want to recommend using the car service available through the guest house. Dario picked us up from the airport drove us to the guest house made sure we were able to get into the building and to our room. He then drove us to the port for our cruise and took us to the airport after the cruise. He is very professional, an excellent driver and his rates are very competitive with other shuttle services. He made our time in Rome much more relaxing because we knew we could count on him being there.

If you are looking for a nice, clean, safe place to rest your head while you are staying in Rome, this is it. It’s nothing special, but the AC, shower and bed were great, the staff was very kind and helpful with directions from the time I landed to the time I arrived to the guesthouse. Spacious, Comfortable

A little difficult to find because there's no outward sign. Just put in the exact address into the GPS or rideshare app and you'll see on the list of names outside the door "Maison Colosseo." Press on the button to ring the bell and someone will come to you. The cost per night was a bit expensive, but the place itself is nice and the owner is very accommodating and professional. She helped me to book transfer to the airport after checkout with a wonderful driver. I put four stars for cleanliness because I can see in the shower tiles some spots of mildew. This was not a big issue, because the rest of the bathroom and room was clean. If staying in Rome, I would recommend staying here! Very close to the Colosseum and other walkable sights. It seems to be in a quiet area of Rome while still within walking distance to places of interest. The room is also very spacious, especially for solo travelers like myself.

Hotel en una ubicación excelente, barrio junto al Coliseo pero que conserva el ambiente de barrio (supermercado, bares, restaurantes tradicionales). El alojamiento está en la primera planta de un edificio (hay que subir un tramo de escaleras). Zona silenciosa porque es una calle sin salida. El anfitrión nos recibió y fue muy amable, con check in rápido (hay que escribir con anterioridad la hora de llegada porque la recepción no es 24h pero tiene amplitud de horario). La habitación excelente, moderna, con persianas, espaciosa, baño completo y tranquila (algo de ruido se cuela del piso de arriba, pero siendo edificios antiguos es inevitable). El desayuno muy completo, te lo dejan dentro de la habitación, lo que es muy cómodo, y dentro de la mininevera. El check out muy cómodo también y con posibilidad de dejar el equipaje por la mañana y aprovecharla visitando la ciudad.

Un Horror!

La llegada fue terrible, no hubo nadie para abrir la puerta y dejaron una nota para que me comunicara con el encargado. Simplemente no contestaba por más de media hora. Finalmente necesité la ayuda de un vecino para poder llamarlo localmente (yo vengo de Ecuador y no tengo línea local de Italia). La habitación era muy pequeña y no se parecía nada a las fotos. Todas las mañanas a las 8 am, la señora de la limpieza hablaba por teléfono a gritos y golpeaba las puertas, yo -que quería dormir hasta tarde porque estaba de vacaciones- tenía que despertarme con el ruido. Afuera del edificio me encontré con drogadictos fumando marihuana en la puerta. Me moría de frío en la noche y había una nota diciendo que no se permite cambiar la temperatura del cuarto.

Muy buena ubicación, a pasos del Coliseo. Si bien el desayuno es muy práctico porque te lo dejan en la habitación el día anterior, tuvimos la poca suerte de que 2 de los 3 días les faltaban cosas.. Charming room and friendly staff near colosseum

Nothing fancy, but very charming and super clean room. Breakfast was self-serve in own room which worked great for us because we didn’t have to rush to a breakfast area by a certain time. The bldg is very private and well kept. It’s away from all the hustle in Rome, but also convenient and very close to the colosseum and imperial forum. We regret not booking our entire stay in Rome at this place; the other place we stayed at wasn’t as charming and was more expensive. Our stay at MAISON COLOSSEO was perfect (once we'd figured out how to lower the window blinds on day 3 - what fun!!). Great position for some of the major sights and not far to walk for others. Ilaria information was very welcome and she pointed out some great places to eat, good variety of food at a good price. When we go back to Rome we would be very happy to say there again!
