Unfortunately, our experience did not meet the standards one would expect.
Firstly, the air conditioning in our apartment was not functioning properly. It was far too hot to stay comfortably in the room, especially during the night. This made our stay unpleasant and tiring.
Secondly, the cleaning service was inadequate. Only the bed sheets were changed, but the floors remained dirty and table surfaces hadn’t been wiped at all. Basic hygiene standards were clearly not being met.
Communication was another big issue. Apart from the reception, most staff members didn’t speak English well, which caused a lot of confusion. For instance, my husband asked a staff member if he could smoke outside near the breakfast area, and he was told it was fine. However, three days later, another employee said it was actually not allowed. This inconsistency left us feeling uncomfortable and unsure of the rules. The parking situation was even more frustrating. There were two “private” parking spots at Houm Plaza, but there was no clear sign saying they were reserved or required payment. We asked the receptionist when we arrived if we could use them, and we were told it was okay and free of charge. The next day, however, the manager blocked our car by parking her Mazda convertible directly in front of it — even though there were other free spots available.
