Close to airport, very clean, lovely room, good breakfast, friendly staff.

The hotel is beautiful and the service was great. However, as noted there is no AC. There were geckos around and inside the property which is expected in Costa Rica. However, there were so many mosquitoes inside the room. The patio had no screen doors. The beds you could feel the springs. The property is so beautiful. It just needs some desperate upgrades.

Unfortunately, this hotels proximity to the San Jose airport means loud jet engine noise occurs frequently when commercial aircraft take off from the west end of the runway. This seriously disturbs an otherwise very tranquil setting at the property.

What a gem, very close to the airport (2 km), good value and genuinely attractive, with a colonial style, rooms have balconies and the garden is tropical and full of exotic plants and trees - one is 300 years old.

It was a fantastic surprise in the middle of the city. Lush trees & landscape & old world charm. Nice pool as well. 5 minutes to the airport. I highly recommended & would stay again in a heartbeat. Staff was so accomodating as well. Had coffee waiting for us before our 5 am departure as well.

Comfy large room with balcony overlooking pool & nature. Won’t feel like you are in the city. Occasionally you Hearn flights taking off but want much of a bother. Friendly reception staff who spoke English well. There is no AC but the cieling fan provided keep the room cool enough in July.

Excellent place to stay close to the airport! You don’t feel like you are in the city at all. Really pretty architecture and surrounded by gardens. Breakfast was delicious too. Will definitely stay again when traveling.
