Brian and David are the best friendliest host , they made us feel at home and loved their hospitality. They have maintained this property beautifully till the last corner of the home. We loved our room from hand painted walls to the canopy bed, with a view - brought out the southern charm of the property. The breakfast in a pretty English setup was my favorite. Thank you for serving us with delicious breakfast . We would love to revisit the next time we are in Galena!!

High Street Inn was easily our favorite B&B we’ve ever stayed at! The staff/groundskeepers are so warm and welcoming - you can feel the sincerity that they want you to enjoy your stay! The bed in our suite was very comfortable, and we are usually picky over that. Also, breakfast was very delicious! This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Main Street. Some people might think the walk back could be challenging (it’s a decently steep hill and a set of stairs) but we didn’t mind the short hike after eating our way around the town. We will definitely be returning! Thank you for your hospitality!

My mom and I had such a wonderful experience here this weekend. Brian made us feel right at home upon our arrival and helped us with our bags. The inn is beautifully decorated and well maintained. We enjoyed learning about the history of the home and its connections to Ulysses Grant. Our rooms were meticulously prepared and cozy. For breakfast, we both agreed the lemon ricotta pancakes and carrot ginger tea cake were delicious! Thank you, Brian, David and David’s mom for hosting us. We were sad to leave, but will be back in the fall! Meredith & Julia

We spent 2 nights in Galena at this B&B. The room was immaculate, as well as the rest of the home. Brian and David were excellent hosts. The breakfasts were filling, on the healthy-side and recipes I would love to make at home. Brian and David were both gracious and helpful with restaurant ideas. There were many ways to spend our time at this historic home with indoor and outdoor activities. I especially appreciated the water bottles provided. We will return!
