Room was as advertised. Quiet and peaceful. All staff I encountered (not many, small place) were wonderful. Would recommend and would come back.

Absolutely delightful place! Stumbled on it while driving in Yosemite and needed a break from camping and this little gem came up and couldn’t be happier! Amazing staff and they have a great restaurant on sight. One stop place for relaxation! The bed is so comfortable and the surroundings are beautiful. There’s a train ride just steps away that’s been on property for years! Super comfortable and easy!

I had a great stay at the Narrow Gauge Inn! The room was very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view that made mornings especially enjoyable. Parking was super easy, and the location is hard to beat — just about 2 miles from the south entrance of Yosemite, which made accessing the park incredibly convenient. One of the highlights is the nearby train depot and scenic ride, which adds a unique charm to the area. The on-site restaurant has a wonderful historic atmosphere and looks fantastic, though the food itself was just okay. Overall, a great place to stay if you’re visiting Yosemite — clean, convenient, and full of character.

If you like cold showers this is the place for you

The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. We didn't have any hot water in the shower or bathroom sink each night. There were dirty handprints on the bathroom door. On the plus side, the property was quiet and close to the South Gate of Yosemite.

Loved our stay at this stop on our way to Yosemite. The picture win dr owns and deck was amazing. Unfortunately the onsite restaurant was closed on Tuesday so we went to the Tenaya. It served the best meal of our four day trip. We really enjoyed the logger ride. It was a perfect start to our journey.i will recommend it to others!

Enjoyed the stay. Their kitchen was down, for a day or so. They referred us to another hotel, which was great. A very nice property close to the Yosemite Sugar Pine train.

The location is great, the restaurant in the property is fabulous but only works from Thursday to Sunday. Doesn't have the facilities of a hotel.

Will absolutely stay again!

Sam and everyone here were amazing. Quaint Inn with a real feel of a lodge. We were able to stay in one of the bigger rooms/suites that was great. The Inn is undergoing upgrades across the board and it is obvious they are doing all they can to make sure guests are taken care of. The restaurant (Aroma) has fantastic food, owned by a family, and the decor and ambience are about as Yosemite/Mtn as you can get, down to fire in the stone fireplace and stuffed deer/elk heads.

Super cute. Close to Yosemite, and sitting out on the deck is so relaxing.

Lovely setting and the restaurant was great. The room needed more clothing and luggage storage.
Gary, 6-night trip

6/10 Good

Room was clean, AC worked but if you like to watch tv to relax a little, this property did not have cable. A little dissatisfying I wasn't told at the time of checking.

We enjoyed the quaint property grounds. Our bed was a marshmallow, but we slept fine.
Jon, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Everything was good and excellent location for the train visit. However at breakfast there were no bagels or yoghurts due to the French families taking more than they should and being inconsiderate.
