I booked a room on the other side of the street months ago but was given this one instead. The walk up was so steep that we had to rest along the way. Getting our suitcase up all the stairs was a challenge. The carpet was stained and the ceiling dirty. Aside from the bathroom, there was only a single, 3 brightness light on each side of the bed but only the dim setting worked. It was quite dark. The balcony light didn't work at all. The window was dirty/hazy so we couldn't see out of it very well. The clock radio didn't work. In a nearby room someone took a 20 minute shower at midnight and it sounded like a fire hose was opened in our bathroom. The AC was so loud that we had to turn it off and open the balcony door. A party outside our window went on until about 1 AM. The traffic noise was also very loud.
The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Although the carpet was dirty and stained, it wasn't sticky.
At night, crossing the street from the office to our room, my wife was almost hit by a speeding car. Because of sharp bends in the road on each side of the crosswalk, you're at the mercy of oncoming traffic. I pulled her out of the way but we both ended up with minor injuries.
