Disappointing
Despite having pre-paid, the person at check-in could not find our reservation. We showed her our confirmed reservation from hotels.com but she refused to give us a room until she could find us in the hotel’s system. We had arrived late evening so prompt access to our room would have been welcome. The person at check-in was very apologetic, but was not authorised to fix the problem.
It is daylight at midnight, but the curtains were not wide enough to cover the window. We do not expect complete darkness, but the room was bright enough for me to read my analog wristwatch at 1.00am.
The room for was hanging squint so there was light coming in from the corridor along the top of the door. That was not a problem in terms of comfort but it did betray a lack of attention to maintenance.
We stayed here two years ago. I don’t think we’ll be back.
