Disappointing

Besutiful views but bat service. Music was so loud it was thumping through the walls till 1.30am. My complaint was ignored. Pool was filthy and the floor was covered in dirt. We paid for breakfast and were told its not included. Dont waste you money or precious time on your trip

I had been to the Carina several times before and had high expectations. Unfortunately the hotel rooms were in much need of renovation, some of the staff were rude. From 8pm-12am sometimes later the music was very very loud and on occasion found it difficult to get to sleep. Some areas looked as if they had not been washed in years.

Great stay!

The hotel is in a great location, close to main attractions. Has beautiful pool and restaurants on site. We had a room with a sea view. Rooms are clean and specious. Breakfast was pretty limited, could have more options/variety.

We had 3 nights to spare on a tight budget so made a booking here. Friendly staff and relatively clean. Nice breakfast included. Strangely the dinner menu was only half available and fairly pricey. Lots of smoking around the pool and cig butts, which wasn't pleasant. If you like to party there is loud music at night.

Great price; quality of stay not so great

This hotel is past its prime. Price is great. But a/c didn't work, and with rooms facing the sea and the setting sun, not a good situation. I arrive at 3:00. When I complained at 4:30, receptionist came up to verify that indeed it didn't work. Said he'd said a tech up. Tech arrived at 6:00; didn't fix it. At that point, finally they offered a change of room. But by that hour, the sun is going down and it's not quite so bad. It was still 84 degrees inside the room in the morning, so I probably should have changed rooms. . Elevators don't take you up to the room floors; you still have maybe 10 steps to walk up or down. For some people, that's a problem. Reception did carry the bag for me. . If you can put up with the inconveniences, and if you like sitting by the pool in hot weather, the price is ideal.

Old hotel with a lot of noise.

Disappointing hotel experience. The hotel is run-down, old, and its glory days are long gone. The room was not clean, and the bed was hard and uncomfortable. The pillows had what appeared to be bloodstains or some other dark spots, though the pillowcases were relatively clean. There seemed to be mold on the mattress as well. The staff appeared unprofessional, more like vendors from the local bazaar than hotel employees, and didn’t seem suited for the hospitality industry. We never felt completely safe during our stay, although in the end, there was no real danger. The worst part of our experience was that the staff didn’t seem to care about the hotel itself; their focus was on the “restaurant” or “Meyhane” (as it’s called in Turkish). From 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM, they played loud, blaring music, turning the hotel into a disco rather than a peaceful place to stay. The music was so loud and the partying so intense that sleeping was impossible, and it all took place right outside our balcony. After the first night, I requested a different room. They moved me without any issue, but since the hotel is so small, the change only made a slight difference. The hotel is located past the old castle on top of a hill, making it difficult to walk up and down. There is a small bus (dolmuş) number 5, which costs only 20 lira per person, but the hotel is far from the city center with only a small kiosk nearby. The one positive aspect of this hotel is the great view from the rooms.
