THis is the second time we have stayed here, the first being a couple years ago. Very nice place to stay, great location for our trip to the Darke Co Wine Festival. Good parking. Staff was helpful. We only saw one "staff", the check in manager. The bathroom was clean as was the bedding. The floor didn't feel clean. The room was small, as was the bathroom. The TV worked as did the refrigerator. The room price was less than the Holiday Inn or Quality Inn but we needed a pet friendly room and this fit the bill. There was no pet smell from previous occupants.

The room wasn’t ready when we arrived even though it was well after check in, so we had to wait for the maids to clean it. It had laminate flooring which was mopped while we waited, but too much detergent was used and left a sticky residue - especially once your feet were damp from the shower. The tub had some older mold stains around the trim and a little peeling paint but was otherwise clean. The bed and pillows were comfy. High speed Internet was advertised, but we barely had service. There was a good sized tv which had recently been installed. It worked well. The air was noisy and it was obvious the thermostat was off. We had to set it lower than we normally do in order for the room to be cool enough. There was no pool, but there was a game room. There was also a restaurant attached which had good food, but the service was a little slow. There is also a convenience store within walking distance. The ice machine was not appropriately sized for a commercial property of this size. There is also no elevator, so if you get a second floor room you have to carry your bags up stairs. The desk clerk changed ours to a first floor room so we were able to avoid this. Staff person was accommodating and helpful. Security cameras are visible which provides extra piece of mind when traveling. The area appeared to be safe.
