Compared to other hotels in similar price ranges in key largo I wasn’t really impressed. The mosquitoes and no seeums were insane. The fact you can’t fish on the property sucked, the room I had in the second floor I didn’t care for. The pool is very small and was always packed. The fact there’s only 6 lounge chairs in a large hotel was not cool. When I asked a staff member about beach cruisers and how I can rent one she said “I think there in the shed, just grab one”. I usually stay at the drift in key largo which I would highly recommend over this place. Staff is super friendly, you don’t use a key for the room instead a code. Go there instead of here, trust me.

Amoray Dive Resort

We reserved for 6 days and were called several times after booking confirming our reservation and our commitment. About 2 days before checking in we were asked if we could break up our dates and stay at the sister resort Kona Kai for first 2 days and then back to Amoray Dive Resort for next 4 days. It seemed they were going through renovations. We agreed since in was not to far away from each other. Kona Kai was a little dated but not surprising for the key. It was very nice, quiet, very clean, very comfortable and friendly. Loved the Papaya suite. Katherine was amazing. Amoray Dive Resort gave us a premiere suite that supposedly had been renovated but when? Baseboards need repainting again, floors were vinyl but not very clean, absolutely could not walk barefooted feet got filthy. The shower shelf for toiletries was missing and had not been replaced so long brackets were corrosive. Did not like free brand of toiletries in bathroom. There was a pull out sofa and sheet was filthy so we told family member not to come over. We found out that the reason our accommodations were split up was because there has been a murder at this resort and a body was found in one of the rooms stuffed in an air handler. This incident happened April 8th and we checked in May 27th. I would really have to investigate this resort again before booking with them again. They did do the best they could do under the circumstances but I would have much rather stayed at Kona Kai the whole 6 days.

Best hidden gem in key largo

This is just the cutest place. The atmosphere the location the vibe everything is amazing. It’s absolutely beautiful the rooms are big for the little report. They have a pool facing the ocean, diving, super cool boat cars, free kayak and paddle boards and bikes. Has a food truck on site. Little souvenir shop by the front desk with clothes and all kinds of stuff. Corn hole, tree swing, tables under colorful tents. The bed was beyond comfortable! It’s like a marshmallow you melt in absolutely the best place!

Wonderful place !

A group of 4 of stayed at this wonderful hotel just for one night. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable and the location of the hotel is fantastic! We watched one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen and walked over to The Caribbean Club for some drinks by the water. We took the complimentary paddle boards out in the morning. Absolutely loved this place and plan to return.

The property itself was great. Great location on the bay, nice pool and water front seating area to watch sunset. We had a room next to the pool. The room was spacious but very noisy and in need of new window treatments. The light from the pool and parking lot shone in all night and we were awakened by pool cleaning and diving setup well before 7:00 AM. The free bike rentals were a plus!

Perfect weekend!

Amoray was a wonderful one night stay for a friend & I visiting for a wedding. Beautiful amenities right on the water. Office staff was very helpful & accommodating as we asked to check in early. No complaints, a very cozy & homey stay.

Lovely Stay, Friendly Staff, Beautiful Location!

We had a wonderful stay as a family of four in an ocean view room at Amoray Resort. Our room was up to date and very comfortable with a kitchen, plates, a two burner stove and refrigerator. The staff was all very friendly and the grounds with a modest pool, two small beaches, a couple docks and chairs, and lovely white sand were perfect for those like us seeking a personal and cozy hotel that fits so well into the Florida Keys vibe. Highly recommend staying here and sipping a drink from your balcony, the pier, or the sandy jetty for the beautiful sunset off to the west. We also watched two rocket launches at night!

Amazing find!

Our stay at Amoray Dive Resort was excellent. We stayed in one of their studio suites with a beach view. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient. The resort is quiet and has a very relaxing atmosphere with a beautiful bay and sunset views. Many on-site activities to choose from both free and for a fee. I’m so happy we chose this resort over others. I would highly recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay again if I ever have the chance.
