Trip to san Pedro in January

The staff at the Grand Caribe are an amazing group. They did everything to make our stay amazing. Any question they answered and problem they solved. We loved our room and the housekeeping staff even does laundry. I would not stay at any other resort when visiting San Pedro. The food at this resort is very good and reasonably priced.

Beautiful property and friendly staff

Our stay was amazing. We booked a studio, which was very spacious and had a huge shower and decent sized bathroom. I didn’t realize when I booked it that it didn’t have a patio, but now we know for next time. The grounds were incredible and so well kept. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We loved the area and felt safe with all the onsite staff and security on premises. They also did complimentary laundry service daily, which was sooooo helpful with being able to pack light and go home with clean laundry. Anna at the front desk helped us so much and was always accommodating. We had an emergency back home while visiting and she helped us print forms and get them sent back out. Overall, the stay was great and we would definitely book here again.

We stayed 12/14 - 12/20 In C8. Wanted to give feedback on our stay. It was wonderful. We have the best time. Staff was accommodating. Amy and Ethan at the front desk were helpful. But wanted to give a special commendation to Hosea at the pool bar area. He was helpful, informative and accommodating. He is a plus for your resort. We plan on coming again to Belize.

Getting off our plane, we met a fellow traveler who said Grand Caribe was the best resort in Belize. I would say that our experience was good, but not extraordinary. While the room was very spacious and clean, and housekeeping staff was great, there were a myriad of issues we had, specifically the TVs were difficult to work, one cable box was missing entirely, and the chain to the front door was broken. Despite informing staff, this was never fixed during our stay. For the expense, you would think there would be more attention to these details.

Stayed for a week and had a great time. The staff is very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the pool area was really nice. We liked that there were restaurants we could walk to and a gym and grocery store on site. It was too windy and rainy during our stay so we didnt get to take the kayaks out like we wanted to, but liked that they offered free kayak usage. They helped us sign up for a snorkel tour where we were picked up right from the hotel which was convenient, but the only downside is you need at least 4 people to confirm a tour and the only option is other people that are staying at the hotel. We ended up booking a second tour through another company and drove into town for it so we could do more than one snorkel tour during our stay. We recommend renting a golf cart at least for a couple days so you can explore secret beach, San Pedro and other great restaurants on the island.

Having stayed at multiple hotels across San Pedro, we appreciate the Gran Caribe for their peaceful atmosphere. The reception staff was very attentive and proactive, the housekeeping team was easy to talk to (and they did our laundry for free) and the grounds and wide beachfront were immaculate. Beach toys (snorkeling gear, kayaks, paddle boards) were ready available and well maintained.

The employees were very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and had everything you could possibly need. They had plenty of golf cart parking a super short walk from the front entrance. Pools were quiet and they had plenty of lounge chairs on the beach. They also offer kayaks and other activities. Highly recommend. Just be aware it’s not walkable into town - you’ll need to rent a golf cart or pay someone to drive you. Renting a golf cart is the best option. One thing to note, if your room is overlooking the street, you will hear vehicles and golf carts driving in the early morning hours.

I loved the property! A little dark in certain areas! Very quiet! Rain and Aqua have amazing food. My condo was huge and had an amazing view. I had a mishap with housekeeping coming into my room and putting my pillow on the floor and taking my white towels from the bathroom. The pools are beautiful!

Living in Paradise

Our experience at Grand Caribe was exceptional! The resort was top notch, clean spaces inside and out! The grounds was well manicured and beautiful! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I felt right at home! We plan to return in the future with the rest of our family!

Nice but be careful.

The resort was amazing. However, I wouldn’t advise booking transfers or renting a golf cart through them. Way over priced. You can get a better deal by doing a little homework before your trip.
