Meh... shouldnhave been better.

We arrived at the hotel around 10 pm, after a 12 hour drive. The check in attendant was very nice. Got to the room, no towels. Apparently, the hotel does not have enough towels to go in every room. She had to get some from an unoccupied room, at that, she only had enough for 1 of us. We were two girls with long hair. The morning attendant had attitude, like I was bothering him because I dare asked for more towels. The elevator smelled like Pine-Sol and vomit. The rooms don't get vacuumed well because there were toenail clippings by a chair and wall. Now, had there been towels, I probably would not have seen the clippings because I tried to call the front desk but the phone had been unplugged. With that said, the bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was great. They offer a full breakfast, which was good. They also have a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Location was good for where we needed to go. The staff, it was really the one moring desk attendant with an attitude, the others were very nice. In a pinch, for $80 a night, I would stay there again.

The shower was not as clean as I would have preferred. The door sliding was a bit off and the handle kept coming off. There were a few stains on the floor and comforter. Spider webs in the corners.

Housekeeping knocking on the door at 8:00am

We were traveling from SW Missouri to Florida & staying over in Tupelo to break up the drive. We encountered tornado breakouts along the way & didn't arrive to our room until 4:00am. (Planned to arrive at midnight). At 8:00am in the morning, housekeeping was banging on our door & woke us up. She said she thought we were a no-show. If we were a no-show, why would the room even need cleaned? Our check-out time was 11:00 so we were hoping to sleep in from our weather ordeal. Please ask housekeeping to double-check for late check-ins. Also, with a gas outage in the city, we had no hot water for showers or personal hygiene. We were not informed beforehand of this outage.

Quite A Gem For A 2-two-star!

When I made a reservation I noticed that this hotel had 8.4 stars. Now I understand the reasons. From the moment we walked in I was very impressed with the immaculate lobby. Its tastefully decorated. The rooms were spacious, and inviting, and pristine. The king-sized bed had a thick mattress, bright white sheets with five pillows on it. The five pillows for two people was absolutely wonderful! Most 2-star hotels don't provide five. The bathroom was spotless! The shower had shampoo and body wash dispensers, a nice touch and unusual for a two-star. There was a large desk, a roomy closet with iron and ironing board, a microwave and small refrigerator. The heat and cool control was on the wall, another nice touch. Overall, I'd rate this hotel as excellent. It's also reasonably priced. Bravo to the management and staff of Comfort Inn!
