We arrived at 13:30 and were told that check in is at 15:00. We tried to ask if there is anything we can do to get the room earlier, as we had to prepare for a wedding invitation in the evening and therefore were under a lot of time pressure. The answer was "check in is at 3".
We told the front desk that we go for lunch and that it would be great, if they could start preparing the room, so that we can get into the room a bit earlier. At 14:30 we were back and asked if the room was ready now. Same answer as before. We continued to wait in the hotel, in the area that they told us, and at 15:05, after nobody bothered to get us to the check in, we went back to the front desk to check in. Then the guy in the front desk started to check us in. The process took another 15 minutes, so it was 15:20 until we were in the room and could finally start to get us ready for our friends wedding.
I understand, that check in time was 15:00, nevertheless even after repetedly telling the staff why we needed this room so urgently, thier attitude did not change. I would have expected from a 5 star hotel, that the staff would at least try to support us, which clearly wasn't the case! Also, the check in process could have easily been started at 14:30, so that we could save time and get the room at 15:00 without further delay.
