Good base for Lake Como

I had a great experience staying at BnB Casa Nini. The location is good for hitting key cities in the Lake Como area, with train and ferry access. The facilities are clean and well-kept. The room was spacious and comfortable. The host is friendly and accommodating - he will provide any information you need regarding ferries, local recommendations, and train service.

The location was convenient for visiting Varenna and Bellagio. I recommend having good communication with Daniel, since this is his B&B. It’s a lovely, elegant family home… wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy it, but grateful for the breakfast to-go that Daniel prepared for our early morning train.

We never succeed to have access to the B&B cause workroad and the owner never answer to the phone. She knows exactly what Time we supposed arrive and we try to join her while one hour. I contact hôtel.com and the same thing he never join the owner. So after one hour waiting without any answer we choose another hôtel. The more fustrated the owner write me email at 9h00 pm to Ask where i am?!?? Awful experience and I lost confidence about hôtel.com.

First of all the house was beautiful, and so was our room. But mostly we love the host Daniele, he is so funny and has a great sense of humor. Plus he speaks English very well! We felt sorry we had to move on again.

Excellent séjour

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Daniel qui a été aux petits soins pour nous et de très bons conseils. La maison est très belle, décorée avec goût , la chambre très confortable et spacieuse, la vue magnifique et la propreté irréprochable . Nous avons tout pu faire à pied après avoir garé notre voiture dans le jardin de la maison . Attention toutefois aux voitures très larges, le passage de la rue est étroit . Nous remercions Daniel pour ces deux jours très agréables et le recommandons vivement.

Bon dans l’ensemble

Un endroit bien situé, proche de la gare… Propre et belle vue, l’accueil fut très chaleureux voire trop, je recommande, néanmoins n’oubliez pas que cet hôtel n’accepte pas la carte bancaire pour payer les taxes (même si les lois européennes déclarent nos droits à payer par carte bancaire à partir de 1€) et quand on paye en liquide ça ne rend pas la monnaie, ce fut donc le seul bémol du voyage cependant, je recommande tout de même.

piece of paradise.

It was our first experience where the host lives in the property that we were renting, it was not too pleasant at the beginning since we took some liberties that we were not allowed and the host called to our attention in a type of demising and condescending way which did not set well with any of us. Now, having said that the host is a elder person that is taking care of the whole property and we could understand why he reacted in the way that he did. If you are not used to be in a place in which the host live there, please ask for things before taking it. The apartment doe not have a great water pressure , neither it has a great air conditioning (for American standards), but it is located in an area that is not too hot, beside and generally speaking none apartment in Europe has a "great air conditioning". The property itself is gorgeous and it is well located, very close to the port if you come by the ferry. I think it is fantastic for those that need to take a break from the hush and hurry of life since this place gives the appearance of having the time to come to a very slow pace. I m writer, and this is the ideal place to disconnect and write.
