The desk clerk when we arrived was very courteous. The room was clean but there were several major problems. Most importantly, the toilet did not flush and was constantly running. I brought this to the attention of the staff and it was NEVER fixed!! In addition, the internet would not connect in our room until we were ready to check out. I also brought this to the attention of the staff and was told that the facility router would be re-positioned. If this was done, it did not remedy the problem. I would discourage anyone from staying at this hotel.

The rooms were very small and the hotel accommodations were old. It was quiet at night and the bed was comfortable. Their was no elevator, which would have been better since my knees have been replaced. The staff did help me carry my luggage upstairs. The location appeared questionable. Although the hotel cannot necessarily control things outside its walls, maybe some security walking outside would have stopped the couple having sex about 10 feet from the front door when I arrived very late to check in.

No elevator and steep old staircase. Not appropriate for older clientele, especially if you have bad knees. Staff was very helpful with luggage and providing any other needs, but one still had to walk up and down those stairs. It is a unique property built in 1929 in a nice setting, but not for "old" folks. Also not enough outlets in an undersized room.

Great experience. The hotel is one of the cleanest we have been in LI. The neighborhood was safe and it felt like we were guest at a house. We were received very nicely and quick. The room was super clean and the bed was comfy. Its an old Inn so the floors are a bit crooked but nothing major. The bathroom was surprisingly nice for an old Inn. There was no AC (again its an old Inn) but the weather was cool outside so cracked open a window and it was nice. The Inn keeper offered us ventilators if the room got hot but we didn’t need it. It’s a great place for Staying for a day or two. Super nice. I will recommend and i will stay again. 10/10

This is a really nice hotel, at very reasonable rates, and everything is clean and neat and well cared for, especially the guests. There is a well-reviewed restaurant as well which I didn't eat at, but the menu looks delicious. During my stay I left an expensive item in my room when I flew home, and they were nice enough to put it aside for me and send it right out to me within a day or two. I will be going back for sure.

Front desk was very helpful when I had a problem with the radiator. Gnocchi contadina from the attached restaurant was delicious as usual. I wish the hotel were a little bit more accessible, but it is an older building. An easy upgrade that would be useful to everyone might be to put grab bars in the showers.

The attached Italian restaurant makes a delicious gnocchi contadina, which you should try. I ate in my room, but the restaurant has a nice atmosphere too. Room was very nice (if rather overheated, but one can turn down the radiator) and contained a table for two with a tablecloth -- very pleasant to sit at while eating dinner in the room. This particular room also had a great tub in the bathroom! If you need anything in the middle of the night, there is a 7-11 conveniently located near the hotel. The only ways in which the room could be improved would be to install a grab bar in the tub and maybe a little holder on the bathroom wall to hold the little soaps and shampoos on the sink. The sink is a little small, and it was hard to keep from accidentally knocking the soaps and shampoos on the floor.
