Staff were friendly and helpful, especially those serving in the restaurant. The food was freshly cooked, beautifully presented and good portion sizes. The room was clean, supplies were replenished, bins emptied and the bed was made on a daily basis. Would recommend staying there.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. It was unplanned and we were frantically searching for somewhere that could take us in over the bank holiday weekend as we were camping with our 1 year old and our tent leaked and flooded! They couldn’t have been more helpful in accommodating us. Ensuring we had what we needed for the baby and generally just being warm and welcoming. The room was lovely, clean and quaint. Plenty big enough for the 2 of us (plus baby in her travel cot). The breakfast was lovely and all the staff that served us were so attentive and warm in their service approach. Really would recommend this place and we will definitely be back if ever staying in the area again!

Had to request music to be turned down as the room we were staying in was right above the bar area and the noise stopped us going to sleep after travelling -apart from that the staff we’re really helpful and friendly and the food was excellent

OK for the price

The breakfast was great - lovely dining room We were given a top floor room - essentially an attic conversion which was difficult to get up to with narrow stairs. Judging by the number of guests other rooms must surely have been available. The shower had black mould around the edges and corners which was surprising as the room and en suite seemed quite newly refreshed.

Clearly al ot of money has bee spent on the place, resulting in a much more modern and stylish interior, perhaps with a slight loss of character. Food and service were good , even when busy. Outdoor equipment excellent with large play apparatus

Good stay, not many other properties in this location Quite expensive to eat there... £32 for dinner for 1 and a drink Breakfast is good if you like English breakfast and cooked meals... if not you have limited choice.
