We have stayed at Ocean 1 Hotel & Suites numerous times and have enjoyed it every time. The staff is always welcoming & remembers us from previous stays. The location is superb and the view of the boardwalk, beach & ocean is fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel & will absolutely stay again

Pro- location, it’s right on the boardwalk. Staff is super friendly. Pillows are soft! Sliding glass door has a screen which is nice to let the breeze in. Con- definitely could use a full remodel. Beds were hard as a rock. Heat wasn’t on in the room so took a minute for the heat to get going but it never got to the other side. Hair in the jacuzzi. Tv was so small! Everything is just dated. Parking is 2 blocks away unless you’re one of the lucky 4 who can get the on site parking. I had just had knee surgery so wasn’t anticipating having to walk.

The GM and the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. Overlooking the boardwalk and right on the beach. Conveniently located to food and shops. The only drawback was the shower was difficult to regulate the temperature of the water. The ocean view was a side view, but we expected that. Next time we stay we are going to upgrade to the oceanfront. We will be back!

My review is messier than the hotel

Location was the selling point for me. Being on first street gives you easy access to the majority of the shops that are still open in October. The hot tub was nice. The tv was tiny in comparison to most tvs but still has HDMI if you’re interested. The balcony was my biggest complaint of this stay, the balconies here are only separated by a half wall. There is also the very small parking lot under the hotel to leave a vehicle. Supposedly there is another lot a few blocks off but not worth it in my opinion. Other than that it could have used an actual deep cleaning, floor boards and the dust on the lamps were the things I noticed. All the staff were friendly to us.

I was very impressed with the property and I thought everything was very clean until I was getting ready to leave. When I got up on my last day, I pulled the coverlet and top sheet all the way to the bottom of the bed and found dried up blood on the bottom sheet. I thought it might be a stain so I took a wet washcloth and dabbed at it. It came off. I think the sheets were clean and whoever changes them was bleeding and got blood on the sheet. The sheets smelled clean. This won’t prevent me from staying there again since I don’t think I slept in sheets that hadn’t been changed

The staff was very friendly. The room was dated with a TINY tv. And the tv picture was blurry/distorted. Overall, a very pleasurably experience but dont plan on spending a lot of time in the room.

Literal bugs in the bed and mold on the walls and all we got was “I’ll change your sheets” you’d be better off pitching a tent then staying here. Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful to charge top dollar and thinks it’s okay for people to sleep in those conditions!

The staff is friendly and helpful. We have been going to OCMD for several years and always go back to Ocean One. The location is great, especially for people watching. Being right on the beach and boardwalk allows us to park the car and not use it until we leave. Parking is a drawback, with about 8 or 9 spaces at the hotel. There is a parking lot 2 blocks away for the hotel. You can load and unload at the hotel, but usually have to walk to get back to your car. Overall, i really like it there. I will keep going back!

We had a wonderful time, staff very friendly and helpful, room was very clean, we had the best vacation ever!!!! And we definitely will be staying there again!!!! The only problem that we encountered was the parking, my sister is handicapped, and we were never able to get a parking space in the garage, I think those spaces in front of the office should be reserved for the handicapped!!!!

Good location, average room - nothing great. Lacks in cleanliness. There are only about 6 parking spaces at the hotel- their other parking lot is 1.5 blocks away from the hotel. We won’t stay there again.
