Were greeted kindly and quickly we had our room keys. The hotel was very quiet even with kids baseball teams staying there. Breakfast was great. scrambled eggs, meat, waffles....

Was not as clean as we are used to, beds appeared to have been laid on. Bathroom had dirt in corners and seemed dirty overall. When we went to make coffee the coffee cup lids were either used previously or had been spilt on. The Hampton has always been our go to when we are in Jamestown and never been disappointed until this stay. Checkin gentleman was very friendly!

Property is older and under renovation. Hallway was smelly with dust and debris from remodeling work in the rooms. There was broken glass on the lobby floor when we came in. Shower with a very rickety door. There was no microwave unlike most Hampton Inns. Otherwise, room was clean, breakfast similar to other Hamptons.

I have never felt so unwelcome when checking into a hotel in my life. The front desk person was actually wearing pajamas to check me in and not once welcomed or thanked me or even smiled. They are remodeling which is good cause I don’t think they ever clean. Shower had so much mold growing on the tile walls and so much dust on the surface of almost everything in the room, and I doubt it was construction dust.

I stay at Hampton’s around the country. I arrived at 1130 asked for early check in and told had to wait until 1:00, a policy. I came back at 12:55 and asked if it was 1:00? I waited for 5 min and then they checked me in. I routinely check in early if there is availability. Had traveled 5 hours for a funeral and ended up having 15 minutes to get ready for funeral. Very poor service and policy! The hotel was not very busy and few cars in the parking lot. Might want to review policy and align with what defines good service. I’m also a Hilton Diamond.
