Cama dura, chuveiro gelado e ruim, quarto sujo... muita formiga e percevejo. E cafe da manha ruim. Nem perguntaram o que queríamos.. nao tinha opção para comer e nao tinha buffet. Atendimento péssimo da recepção!

Good value near JNB
Good value hotel near the airport. I was collected, as scheduled, from the terminal which is a few minutes from the hotel. Staff were friendl, WiFi decent and the room was comfortable. No complaints, would stay again.

This was a great, inexpensive place to stay for an airport layover. It was easy to arrange transport from the airport to the guesthouse, and everything was on-time, with a nice packed breakfast for early departures.

Enhancing Emerald Guesthouse
I did not enjoy my stay at the guest house. First of all the transport was a bit late; then the room and bathroom were not very clean. The duvet was old and untidy. the Towels were very old and dark colours that are not appealing.
What trucked me was the cold water; As I started having a bath, the hot water was gone and having soap all over me, I have to do with the cold water; that led me catching a cold as I was very very cold in the night and there were no heater. I advise to review the bedding and the state and colours of the towels should be appealing and in a decent standard. I understand that the rate is a bit low; but Hygiene is important. Cutlery, plates, glasses are average cups will be appreciated. Hand sanitiser and toilet cleaner will also add a plus. There is always room for improvement. Kindly do to enhance the place. Thanks

Nära flygplats, men sämre rum
Hotell nära flygplatsen, så det var bra. Skönt att man kunde få transfer till och från.
Men väldigt högljudda rum, hörde flyg och människor både ovanför och utanför som gjorde att själva natten blev sådär.
Utbudet på middag och frukost begränsat och sisådär.

I paid for two nights but had to cut my losses and leave after the first night and pay for somewhere else. It was a smooth airport pickup and checking-in. Great job on that. However, the room was really cold. This is late May 2025. I went back to the front desk and reported this. They had to get someone to turn the heater unit on from the outside. It find it lacking that they had prepared the room and keys for an easy check-in but had not turned the heat on. So the person did turn the heat on but the panel heating panel on the wall was totally inadequate to heat the room. I checked in, in the late afternoon, until 10 pm there was still little or not heat and I still had to be in my street clothes and coat. By then it was obvious that it was not getting any warmer, I went back to the front desk to request a change of room. I was told that all the rooms are like that and was given three or 4 blankets. I ended up sleeping in my full street attire with the use of the blankets. I just found another place online and checked out the next morning. Upon checkout they asked me if I was not staying the two nights, I told her no, because it was too cold and I don't want to get sick. She said OK and not not even a word or gesture of apology. Normally I'd try to get a refund but I am a lone traveler in a strange country and want no issues so I just forgot about it.
