I’ve stayed here a couple times before, and I really liked this location. It’s in a nice convenient location nearby Lower Haight. It’s by good reliable public transport, walking distance from the muni trains. Very nice neighborhood, clean, no trash anywhere. It’s set up like a Euro hotel, but with options of private in room bathrooms. It’s affordable compared to most of SF. I always recommend this place to all of my friends now that none of us live around the Bay Area anymore. The staff was friendly, the room was nice and clean.

This suited us, as we needed some last minute, cost-effective accommodation, but I wouldn't stay there again. I expect that this kind of accommodation might be run-down and old and a bit 'creaky' etc - and it was certainly all of those things - but I do expect it to still be clean. Our experience was that the rooms didn't feel that clean, there was hair left in the bathrooms and an unpleasant smell in the hallways often. Also a note to future travelers, there's no A/C (we were aware of this, but just pointing it out) and if you leave your windows open for the cool air, the street noise can be very loud throughout the night. The staff were all helpful and polite.

The price was very reasonable, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a clean room and a nice shower, with only occasional noise from neighbors. Check-in was a bit odd, when I bounced off a locked front door late afternoon, and was about to walk away when I saw a young guy come up to let me in. I would certainly stay here again.

My friend and I (both men in our early/mid-20s) stayed at Casa Loma for 5 nights. For the price, this hotel is in an awesome central location. Roshni at the front desk was wonderful. We had easy access to public transit and had an easy walk to restaurants and amenities. This hotel certainly isn't luxury- it's a convenient place to sleep at a great price! A few more things to note: -This hotel is along busy Fell Street, so bring earplugs if you are a sensitive sleeper. -There is no elevator, so be prepared to walk up a few flights of stairs.

Great location. Staff was very nice. Parking is less than ideal, but that's the trade off for the location. Bathroom looked like it was recently redone and very clean. Only wish there had been a fan or something in the room to move the air. We had the windows open, but the night traffic never stops so it's was pretty loud.

Great location and all the amenities we needed. We were sightseeing and out and about, so this hotel was perfect for that. Only downsides were that we were on the 3rd floor and it was quite warm while we visited. The hotel has no AC and we were unable to open our windows. It got quite warm in the room so we wouldn't spend much time in there. That being said, everyone who worked there was kind and helpful and I would definitely stay again.
