Amazing stay, was theee ten years ago, and it was an even better stay than the last time. The staff was incredibly kind and thoughtful. They arrange amazing tours with great guides. Nice location-awful odor

Beautiful hotel, very Baroque in style-so much so that the suite was off putting, which doesn’t show in their pictures. Beautiful and very large tub in suite. Sadly, the entire suite wreaked of sewage smell, most likely from a sour drain. It made the experience awful and unbearable. We had to keep the doors to the bathroom shut tight at all times. We should have known based on the 5 or so bottles of incense/perfume scattered throughout the entryway and suite. Luckily, we only booked 2 nights there and spent every waking minute outside. The hotel location was very near the train station and shopping areas, which was ideal. Looking back, we should’ve requested a room change immediately upon arrival when we noticed the odor.
