I stayed at Motel 6 in two different times so I need to give two different reviews:
The first night, the room I was offered- maybe because the hotel itself is so old or that room hasn't been occupied for a long while- but the bedsheets (they seemed clean) had the faint cigarette smoke smell. And the smell rubbed off on the clothes I slept on that I had to wash them the next day! Otherwise, everything else was fine.
The second time (which was last night), I was directed to the only room available which was for handicapped clients. The room was actually better, very clean and the bed was comfortable. I can still smell the cigarette smoke but not on the sheets, but somewhere else. I did tell the manager, who was very friendly, about the few issues I had, and he said he'll take care of it and thanked me for telling him.
So I had to rate the stay three stars because of the mentioned issues but overall, it wasn't that bad. I slept well, and that's all that mattered to me.
