Pretty much average across the board. You get what you pay for and I never expect much staying at a Motel 6, but ripped bed-sheets upon check-in? C’mon! I guess that’s better than the body-fluid stained sheets at the last Motel 6 I stayed in outside of L.A. Also lots of activity around the property that made it seem sketchy bordering on potentially unsafe. People who looked like they were squatting, probably on m3th-benders, etc. When I checked in, staff was watching a guy haul a bunch of stuff up the stairs in a blanket. What was in it is anybody’s guess, but one staff member turned to the other and said, “Watch the security cameras”, while the other said, “I was planning on it. Sadly I don’t think they’ll be on camera.” Great! Tells me some of their surveillance cameras don’t work, and just all around not a good first impression to make. All in all, I deeply regret staying at cheap motels every time I do it. Only time I do it is for a single night reservation when I’m just passing through town and need a place to crash before I hit the road again, but damn, some of these properties still surprise me at how rundown and sketchy they are.

It’s not the Ritz, but for the price, location, staff and swimming pool, it’s great. Rooms are very clean, front desk, house keeping and maintenance staff are helpful and professional. The pool is as nice as a those at higher end hotels in the area, it’s big and there is lots of seating. The location is great. Just a few minutes to downtown Palm Springs, Easy to park. There are washers and dryers. My 2 minor complaints are: there are very few outlets to charge devices, I had to use the restroom outlet for my phone and bedside outlet for my computer. The second is some rooms lack microwaves and refrigerators. Some rooms have both. I’m not sure why that is. There is a microwave in the laundry room. But not the most convenient when you just want to heat up leftovers, or water for tea.

Been staying at this hotel over the years. The only complaint relates to the exhaust fans in the bathrooms. They are incredibly noisy and very loud! The rooms need more electrical outlets and definitely need charging outlets.

The manager, Juan, deserves a HUGE raise. He turned this property from a bland Motel 6, into a true Palm Springs resort. We’ve stayed here many times, because we travel with our cat, and it’s a different property under his leadership. This has become a totally different place because of Juan.
