Superb hotel, fantastic staff and perfect location

I am blown away by this amazing hotel - the location, rooms, staff! I am surprised this is rated as a 3 star hotel - it has all the beautiful qualities of a superior hotel. We had to leave at 4 am and restaurants staff allowed us to pack our own breakfast to go and it meant the world. Not only that, they also offered juice and water as we were leaving (as part of our breakfast to go). I really appreciate your kindness and helpfulness and can’t wait to be back!

Gracious, classy, well maintained, and kudos to the chef. I liked it well enough to extend my stay two extra days. Bonus--It is close to everything. Some reviewers have mentioned the noise from the trolleys. It is true they are a constant, but they feel like the steady heartbeat of the city. They are not shrill or startling. If you are on a higher floor, they are just background sound.

Elegance in a Fantastic Location

Ideally located close to train station and on the edge of the Old Town. Tram noise was noticible, but quickly became a soothing background sound. Breakfast was very good, although breakfast room was busy at times. Bed comfy, room clean, bathroom modern. Tea,coffee making facities in room much appreciated. Staff very friendly.

hotel located steps away from the train station and 10 min from the city center, very convenient location! Room was specious and clean, only complain was the noise from the street. I could hear street traffic and tram stop[p was just outside my window. it's an older building but it has its charm. We has delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant and the potatoes pancakes were simply delicious! I would recommend this place for the location and dining as well as the pleasant service, they let us leave our luggage for a day!

I stayed for just one night during a journey from Ukraine to UK via Krakow. This was perfect for my needs. A fantastic location so easy to find on foot from the railway/bus station but also very convenient for the Galeria Krakowska and just a short walk from the charming Old Town. My room was clean, warm and very comfortable. Just what I needed.

Poor stay, noisy and low quality food

Clean room but most days the rubbish wasn’t taken out. The shower door was broken. The breakfast was poor and some of the food had gone off. The windows weren’t insulated so you hear all the noise from outside. The pillows were extremely large took up a large portion of the bed. The artwork on the wall wasn’t hung properly so it rattled every time the tram went past outside. I don’t recommend this place to stay it hasn’t been updated since the 1930s and the staff aren’t interested in anything but your money.

Great location.

Room was spacious, bed was comfortable but the pillows were way too soft and went flat immediately. Breakfast was fine, decent selection. Front facing rooms hear the trams and they can be loud. Great location for the old time, train station and large shopping mall, all easy walking.

Even better the second time

This was our second stay at Hotel Polonia and it was even more wonderful than our previous visit two years ago. Service is courteous and polite. All of our questions were answered cheerfully and accurately. Location cannot be beat. If traveling by train, Krakow Główny station is a short walk. Public transportation is right outside the door to take you to the area of Schindler's factory, the botanic gardens and Jewish quarter. Old Town is a quick walk across the park. Breakfast is exceptional. Hot and cold foods, pastries etc. In my opinion, staying in a hotel that is over 100 years old, has the charm of times gone by speaks for itself. Our room was extra special it was noted and very much appreciated. When in Krakow, we will stay at Hotel Polonia again.
