Excellent hotel near Santa Maria Maggiore

This is lovely small hotel located near the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore, Roma Termini train station, and not far from the Colosseum. It is very affordable. The rooms are modernized, and the owners are attentive and friendly. A real gem.

Fantastic people greeted us when we arrived. They offered drinks/snacks and immediately help with directions and sites using a map. We were in Piazza Novona for two nights before and I wish we had more time in Monti staying here.

Had a lovely stay for three nights in this hotel in the middle of Roma, just a short walk from the train station. The hotel has a warm and familiar feel. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. Clean, spacious rooms. Only downside is our window was facing a busy street so can be a bit noisy, but I think this would be true almost everywhere in the area. Would absolutely recommend this hotel. The staff were amazing. It’s not a corporate hotel it is run by a family. You could come here with no idea what to do and they would be able to plan a whole itinerary the week, and be enthusiastic about do it. If I’m lucky enough to come back to Rome, I’m staying here again.

The owner and her staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I enjoyed our conversations and their local knowledge. The location is excellent. It’s a very short walk to the Termini in one direction and the Colosseum in the other. The neighbourhood was lively but not too busy. Honestly, my best hotel stay in all of Italy. I’d stay here again.
