A charming and cozy hotel with a warm atmosphere. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. A perfect place to stay when visiting Sälen.

Charming, luxurious and historical hotel. Friendly staff, great beds, and every detail in the room were just perfect. We got a really good deal as it was a bit off season. But the "price" of that was that their famous waffle house were closed. The only tiny negative thing I can think of is that (the delicious) breakfast only was served until 9 am and that checkout was already at 10 am... But, despite this we had a very nice stay in this great hotel.

The place is fine, I just used it as a stop on road trip. The only problem was a long wait to check in as staff are also serving in restaurant. Suggest not checking in at meal times.

Nice cozy room, good pillows, fluffy towels. The main area though, with the reception and restaurant, although it looked very nice, it had a strong smell. Not sure what it was, but personally I found it unpleasent. Breakfast selection was also very poor, especially in the warm-foods department.

Fantastisk personal, mycket bra frukost och middagen på restaurang är väl värd ett besök varesig man bor på hotellet eller inte. Centrala delen av hotellet har en mycket lokalhistorisk inredning vilket gör den delen väldigt mysig och gästvänlig. Läget på hotellet är väldigt centralt i Sälensfjällen med närhet till Lindvallen och Hundfjället. Närmsta granne är Sälens högfjällshotell.

Vi hade blivit rekomenderade detta hotell av en vän, och förväntningarna levde ipp till det. Hotellfrukosten var underbar, huvudstugan med brasan hade hög mysfaktor, (restaurangmaten såg tipp topp ut även om vi inte åt där), och alla var trevliga och hjälpsamma när vi hade en tjejhelg och sprang ett lopp i Sälen. Rummen är okej, men så mycket annat som var otroligt bra med hotellet så kan verkligen rekomendera detta ställe.

Incheckningen var en aning nonchalant och inte så välkomnande. Frukosten var riktigt bra, saknade bara gröten, rummet i lodgehuset kändes mörkt. I övrigt all personal mycket tillmötesgående och välkomnande, ett ställe att rekommendera, och jag hoppas återkomma och möta en något mer välkomnande reception.
