Horizon View Beach Hotel

Very good location on the boardwalk near lots of restaurants and shops. The duty free pavilion is close by as is the Market where you can buy drinks and snacks. The hotel itself is very nice and the staff is wonderful. They are helpful and friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The A/C was great. All in all, very pleased with our stay and will definitely be back.

Elevator not working . There was someone to assist carrying bags over to the room. Otherwise good location for a precruise stay. Convenient to restaurants, beach, etc. Good sized rooms. More like a condominium than a hotel room. Has a fridge, freezer, and stove. Basic kitchen utensils.

room was large and nice view of beach and port, close to all the bars and restaurants on the boardwalk. No coffee in room only at front desk which was an issue, could not adjust temperature on a/c or even turn it off when it got too cold, served its purpose of place to stay close to port

Being right on the beach was great. Being able to have a lounge chair and umbrella for only having to buy $10 worth of food and drinks from the bar was great. Good places to eat in the area was great. Room was big and clean. Only bad thing was that I was on the church side of the building and they could be very loud. Thankfully they end at 8:30p. Nice place to stay

Good hotel, convenient to ferry

This was just a short overnight stay before going on to St. Barts -- the hotel was good, met all of our needs and is a short walk to the Great Bay Ferry, which is why we selected it. The area is overbuilt and not appealing but the long boardwalk was good for walking and the Caribbean weather was delightful.

We stayed here one night before a cruise and the hotel was fine. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was great. The elevator didn't work, so stair climbing was necessary.

Great location in front of the beach (with free beach chairs). Rooms are big and have balconies. The view from the room is great, you can see the sea and historical buildings. Staff is friendly and helpful, they can give you recommendations on anything you need. To improve: Elevator wasn't working on my visit, and service on Buda restaurant downstairs is too slow.

Good property, beach full of rentable chairs. Do people routinely pay $35 just to sit on the beach under an umbrella and sip booze? Seems silly to me. Elevator broke down in hotel day before I got there, was down entire stay. That was a huge inconvenience for us.

In the room there would be a refrigerator, a coffee maker plates and cups etc. But there was nothing, there was only one chair and a bed. It was clean though. Tired from the trip we went to sleep, the next day we filed a complaint and asked for a refund. But the receptionist said we should have asked, then it would have been arranged. But I don't think they wouldn't have connected a refrigerator that same night. We also sat right next to the church, which also made a lot of noise. Evator did not work, you get the picture. It needs a big renovation, faded glory. So end of the story, they don't keep their promises and we paid way to much money for the room.
