Lovely traditional Hotel in a good location for all that Harrogate has to offer. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The only issue was the sofa in our hotel room was damaged and gave a poor first impression of the room .

Beautiful looking building from the outside but so dated inside & in serious need of update, dirty threadbare carpets in halls & stairs. Beds were very comfortable though with fresh sheets & nice pillows.

An over night stay. Nice hotel full of history and well looked after. Enjoyed the lunch, dinner and breakfast during our brief stay.. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Certainly not a lavish hotel, just very good in what it does and the market it serves.

Needs updating but priced accordingly.

Hotel bedrooms need updating. Window could not be open and no air conditioning. However overall it was a bargain stay and we would stay there again.

Nice hotel

The Crown is a traditional creeking hotel with lots of character. Staff were very friendly. The room was spacious but there was no fridge or safe and very few shelves or drawers for storage (although there was a wardrobe with plenty of hanging space). The disappointment was the breakfast. While there was nothing wrong with it (they offered cereal, fruit juice, meat and cheese, fruit, cooked breakfast and croissants/pastries), it all felt very uninspiring. Bread rolls and/or nicer bread would be a start.

Great hotel

Lovely, period hotel. Very roomy, comfortable lounge. Good room, only complaint was the heat - a hot pipe ran through our room, it was sweltering, luckily there was a fan as windows would not open. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Nice cotton towels and crisps cotton bed linen.

We've stayed here many times and although it is very clean and the staff are helpful and friendly, I think it's time for an upgrade. Lick of paint, new carpets maybe - a bit of TLC is needed

Rooms need a refurb

Room 353 was very dated and in need of a refurb. The shower was poor, luke warm water with very little pressure. There were also a few wood lice in the bathroom. The room was very hot with a lack of ventilation. Reception staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful.

I won't be staying with you again

I was told by receptionist that our room was a cozy double/single We found our bed pushed up against the wall. We are in our 60's. We had to pull the bed out from the wall in order to get in on both sides. This meant pulling the bed away from the headboard. We then had no headboard or bedside stand. The carpet was threadbare
