My husband and I were impressed with everything about our stay at BijBlauw. We have never encountered such friendly, caring, helpful, service-oriented staff anywhere else in our travels.
The waterfront restaurant is simply stunning. Waking up to breakfast on the sea was the absolute best! Followed closely by ending the day with a cocktail while watching the sun set.
I have some food allergies, but that was never a problem during any of our meals. Staff were always happy to let the chef know about my dietary restrictions. Once they were aware, they always remembered what I could or couldn't eat. I found that to be very reassuring.
We stayed in room #6 on the second floor. Just beware, there are no elevators here, but there are rooms on the main floor. While the hotel itself was extremely warm, our room was a nice, cool refuge from the heat. It was also very quiet, which allowed for a restful night's sleep.
The location was great, too! Even though we had a car, we could easily walk to so many other neat places in Pietermaai, Punda, and Otrabanda.
This place is about as lovely as can be! Our stay in Curacao was delightful, thanks in large part to the kind staff and gracious hospitality at BijBlauw. We hope to return someday!
