My stay at the Homewood Suites Halifax-Downtown was okay, but nothing special. The hotel, despite not being that old, looks a little rundown. While being very clean, most of the walls had scratches on them (especially outside the room) and the bathroom had lots of limescale that seems to have become permanent. Other than that I enjoyed the large safe, the very comfortable bed and the free hot breakfast (which was only missing the waffle maker compared to other Homewood Suites I stayed at).
One other bad thing to note though: My room (306, if I remember correctly) had a very weird smell, as if it had previously been a smoking room.
