Dear Hotels.com Customer Service, I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at Bahia Principe Grand Turquesa - All Inclusive , which I booked through your platform. We specifically paid for a superior room with a view; however, upon arrival, we were given a room overlooking the parking lot. When I addressed this with the hotel management, they stated that room assignments are subject to availability and claimed they are not responsible for the descriptions or bookings made on Hotels.com. In addition to the room issue, I wanted to share some feedback regarding the guest experience: - Location and Transport: The beach is a 20+ minute walk from the lobby. While there is a train, the wait times can be unpredictable. - Beach Amenities: To secure a spot with an umbrella, guests must wake up at 6:00 AM to make the 20-minute walk, and even then, a spot is not guaranteed. - Dining Reservations: Despite staying for a full week, we were only permitted to make three restaurant reservations. We were required to eat at the buffet for the remaining four nights. All things considered, we were not satisfied with this experience and do not plan on returning to this property. I would appreciate it if you could look into the discrepancy between what was paid for on your site and the service provided by the hotel. I look forward to hearing from you.

Resort was big with a lot to do, and see. Overall the family had a good time. The à la carte restaurants require reservations and unfortunately are very hard to get and you are unable to make them in advance. Not sure if there is some sort of trick to it, but we tried to make reservations on the first day there for the five nights we stayed and couldn’t get any on any of the days. The buffet food was AWFUL. So food needs a major improvement. Resort states you can’t “reserve” chairs but that didn’t stop people from doing so. We got to the pool at 9am and every chair had a random towel on it with nobody in sight. 6 chairs had bandannas tied on them from 9am to about 4:45pm when we left and not a single person came once. Many people including us were frustrated with the lack of awareness and chairs. Resort probably needs to do a better job either more chairs or more “policing”? The activities staff are great, very helpful and fun. The wave was a highlight but did cost extra. The trams/trains were great they came all the time. Some resorts you have to wait 15 minutes but not here. Room was clean!

Utrolig dårlig check-in, ikke styr på noget og spørger om vi vil opgradere til andet hotel inden vi ser hvad vi egentlig har bestilt. Uhøflig personale (pånær tjenere), virkede som de ikke gad deres job. Poolbar havde åben og mad som det lige passede dem.ingen service. Værelset var mørkt, fugtig, det dryppede fra loftet i badeværelset, aircondition larmede voldsomt. 3 ud af 4 i familien blev madforgiftet og brugte 2 dage på værelset. Alt i alt bare en rigtig dårlig oplevelse. Man har betalt mange penge for opholdet. Som det sidste hyrede de en taxa for os væk derfra (vi måtte ikke selv) og der har vi aftalt en pris, men da vi skulle ud af taxaen var prisen 200% højere. Vil aldrig kunne anbefale hotellet.

The state of the bathroom is just unacceptable. It was so gross I had to shower in my water shoes. The mattress was so hard, I’m so achy and will need to book a massage once I landed back home. The day before we left, there wasn’t any hot water & at this point I was just ready to go. Woke up today to get ready for the airport, still no hot water. There were other things but it doesn’t matter. I know I will never be staying at another Bahia. I know better & should have gone for a Hilton or Marriott property. And what decade are we in that I needed to physically go back to the counter to check out.

This resort was clean, had friendly staff and we had an overall good experience. Only downside was, depending on which hotel you stayed at within the resort, you only had 1 buffet option to eat all for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I want to give a huge shout-out to the staff at this resort. They were absolutely amazing, so energetic, always smiling, dancing, and genuinely helpful. You could really feel their positive energy everywhere. The cleanliness of the resort truly stood out. Everywhere we looked, someone was cleaning or fixing something. The bathrooms near the pools, close to the beach, and throughout the resort were always spotless. This is especially impressive considering how many guests there were and how large the resort is. We stayed at Turquesa, and I just want to add a small heads up for anyone with mobility issues. The buildings do not have elevators, only stairs, although there are rooms available on the ground floor. It is not an issue if you are comfortable walking, but it is something good to know in advance. The room itself was comfortable, and the bed was great. That said, the room is a bit outdated, and you can clearly see that some things could be refreshed or fixed. However, this did not bother us at all. It was a minor detail and did not affect our stay in any way. Speaking of size, the resort is huge, but there is always something to do. We spent New Year’s Eve there, and the celebration was incredible. It was a huge party and so much fun. The only small downside was the VIP area, which felt a bit too exclusive. It did not bother me much, but I do think it could have been more equal so everyone could enjoy the experience the same way. Still, it was not a big deal overall.
